Random question, and I'm a little late on it, but I just watched the recent Strikeforce card, where Henderson won the title. I was wondering if anyone else who has seen the event could direct me a place where I can procure the pink highlighted 'Raw State' shirt worn by Coenen (I believe that's her name, the woman's champion) and her team.

I'd be much obliged, as that shirt was awesome.

Guest mr. potato head

In an interview with Sherdog, Jared Shaw says that not only did Frank Shamrock volunteer to step in against Kimbo when Ken Shamrock cut himself at the last EliteXC show (which has been reported before), he volunteered to lose the fight. Also says Ken cut himself with a razor, and that he thinks Frank Shamrock/Cung Le may have been fixed.

woot, Bellator is coming to my hometown on the 16th of April.

CHICAGO, Ill. (March 24, 2011) - Bellator Fighting Championships will make its first visit to Arizona with Bellator 41 on April 16, 2011 at Cocopah Resort and Casino in Yuma, Arizona. The event will air LIVE on MTV2.

Bellator 41 will be headlined by two Super Fights, with current Bellator World Featherweight Champion and self proclaimed "Baddest Man on the Planet" Joe Warren taking on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and WEC veteran Marcos "Louro" Galvao, while Bellator World Bantamweight Champion Zack Makovsky is set to square off against 11-0 Strikeforce alum Chad "Robo" Robichaux.

Along with the two non-title Super Fights, Bellator 41 will also host the semifinal matchups of the promotions Season 4 Featherweight Tournament.

Coming off an impressive decision victory over the previously undefeated Nazareno Malegarie in the quarterfinals, Daniel Straus looks to punch his ticket to the finals with a victory over hard-hitting Kenny "The Tooth Fairy" Foster, who earned his spot with a submission victory over NCAA Division I Wrestling Champion Eric Larkin.

The other semifinal fight will see 7-time Bellator veteran and World Jiu-Jitsu Champion Wilson Reis battle heavy handed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Patricio Pitbull in a fight to secure a coveted Featherweight Finals appearance.

"As an MMA fan, I can't wait for this event," said Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney. "Both Super Fights and Semi-finals should be spectacular fights. And, Cocopah Casino's outdoor venue is an amazing venue for MMA. We've wanted to bring an event to Arizona for some time. Overall, this should be a great live event on MTV2."

Reis/Pitbull should be great, and Warren's undoubtedly UFC-bound if he continues to develop. Can't wait.

Warren claimed on last weeks show that not only would he be continuing to fight at 145, he would be trying to go to the olympics in wrestling AND then compete at both 135 and 145 and win the next 135 tournament if that is the way Bellator is going to go...

The guy is confident and cocky as shit, but I fucking love him.

Joe Warren could be very marketable with the UFC behind him. He's a great talker, very cocky. I don't know how he'd do with the top 145ers (or even the 135ers if he wanted to compete there too like he plans to do in Bellator) in the world, but he has what it takes to be a star in the UFC I think. One day I am sure he'll be there, mostly because I just don't see Bellator lasting too long.

EDIT 2: How/what/why is Cecil Peoples in a Zuffa fight?

EDIT 3: He didn't fuck up. :o

So Strikeforce was pretty good tonight, huh? Aoki kicked things off with a nice neck crank. Mousasi should've gotten the win 29-27. Melendez looked great out there; those elbows were brutal. Now finally him calling out the UFC lightweight champion doesn't seem so stupid now since they have been bought by Zuffa. But it's a long line of title contender already and I don't see the title unification happening for a little while, but his promo was nice. And lastly, I liked Diaz/Daley. Good fight, and Diaz getting the win was great to see.

Cecil Peoples being a referee for a Zuffa fight is because the althetic commisions pick the referees, not the promotion. And he has also judged many UFC fights as well, so it's not like the commissions keep him away from doing anything with the promotion.

That's awesome. I had to move back to San Antonio for a few months last year when my grandpa was diagnosed with terminal cancer and I was training at Rodrigo Pinheiro BJJ while I was there. Here at home in Myrtle Beach I train at a Relson Gracie affiliate, but I got to train with some great guys when I was there. Pinheiro, Pete Spratt, and there was a guy Aaron Rosa who fought at heavyweight for Bellator, I think it was BFC 20. Bellator puts on such great shows. Awesome fights.
