My ridiculous Sphere Grid survey served me well - knowing how many +4 spheres I already have meant that I know exactly how many more I need in each attribute and can plan my grinding accordingly. Have already maxed out Defence, Magic Defence, Agility and Evasion on the grid (and Accuracy, but I am now told that Accuracy should be ignored in favour of Luck...). Next will be Strength, I think.

But Jesus, the idea that I'm going to have to fight Earth Eater maybe 50 or 60 times just to get enough Fortune Spheres for even ONE character to max out their Luck is insane.

You don't need max luck, just around 80-120 is fine apparently.

Without ANY luck training, I can hit Yojimbo (130ish Luck IIRC, second highest in the game) every time following three or four aims.

When I went looking for 'ideal' sphere grids I found literally a dozen alternatives, so maybe I should look again and try to figure out why they differ...

They're probably "ideal" because they are absolutely optimal. You don't need to be optimal, you just need to be good enough.

Of course, all this is moot if you just use Zanmato

I've never been a Zanmato guy. TBH I resent the need to keep Yojimbo happy and so never use him at all out of spite.

Just encountered a weird glitch where a trophy popped for hitting 9999HP damage... but I already long since had it. The game is literally giving me extra trophies. Sorry Eddie

I've finishes Kimahri's weapon by praying at the three glowing stones in the Thunder Plains and catching all the butterflies. This game doesn't half make you do some random shit. 

Also, what the fuck are these dark aeons that happen to butcher my entire team before I get a turn? Ran into two of them now.
