This is a (probably surprisingly) short list, actually. This is off the top of my head, so maybe not entirely comprehensive. There's also lots of smaller bands I've almost certainly forgotten. Here's some, anyhow:

Art Brut (x2), The Futureheads, The Ordinary Boys, The Black Velvets, The Ivories, SunnO))), Boris, Black Mountain, Chrome Hoof, Damo Suzuki, Crippled Black Phoenix, Portishead, GZA, Blood Island Raiders, Fuck Buttons, John Cooper Clarke, Julian Cope, Thurston Moore, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Om, Oneida, Polar Bear, Seasick Steve, The Heads, Madlib Medicine Show, Bob Geldof, Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Aphex Twin, Neil Diamond, Kid Carpet...

...I'm sure there's a few others, but not too many...that's most of it, though, with the exception of a load of minor indie bands and unsigned acts that I can never remember.

I've been to(and been in) quite a few local shows,, but for the names anyone would know:

Rolling Stones

Motley Crue

Marilyn Manson(twice)

Slayer

Bleeding Through

Ours

I'd also like to see Disturbed and Panic at the Disco at the beginning of next month and end of this month, but I don't know if that'll happen.

Not many that I can really think of off the top of my head, but the ones that I do remember are;

Matthew Good

Fall Out Boy

The Starting Line

Motion City Soundtrack

Panic! At The Disco

Boys Night Out

Green Day

My Chemical Romance

Sum 41

Treble Charger

Jersey

And those are the only really big shows that I remember. I could pad the list out with dozens of shitty go nowhere bands that passed through here when we were promoting shows, but I'd really rather not.

Figured I'd ask this here instead of making a new thread: Anyone seen REM live? Modest Mouse are supporting them, might end up going for that. Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to stick around for the main act. Not a big fan of REM, but some of their singles are good. End of the World, etc. The National are playing too, but I can't say I've ever heard of them, and my computer doesn't have a soundcard so I can't just listen to them online. So yeah, are REM any good live?
