I ran back a missed FG, awesome

I ran one back about 60 yards, had one man to beat but got pushed out of bounds.

I found those Realism sliders too easy for my liking, I went 12-0, destroying pretty much every team I played. I did enjoy having Romo amongst the league leaders in passing and Marion Barber blowing everyone else in the league away on his 6.8 yards per carry average and 23 touchdowns. The computer teams don't seem to get many rushing TDs, I had about 30 and no one else was even in double figures.

I've modified that set of sliders now and think I have them better tuned to my game so I'll be starting a new franchise when the next roster update is out which should be middle of next week apparently, post-cuts.

Since michael craptree has yet to sign his contract...and by all indications has no intent to. Does that mean he'll be removed from the game since he won't be a part of the nflpa?

If EA gets the Cowboys roster spot on then their stupid roster limitations are going to screw people over who want to play a franchise. Dallas, at the moment, only has two defensive tackles but the game forces you to carry three, even if your team plays a 3-4. Therefore, someone will need to be released so another DT can be signed, meaning the roster isn't as it should be.

Well that will probably be up to the user, I've had updates before where it's had the proper roster but you have to modify it before you can play a game so it fits Madden's roster limitations which is silly. It may not be much to a casual fan but I'd like to be able to begin a franchise with the exact roster the real team has.

Yes, the roster limitations in the game have never made sense to me. I hate how putting guys on the IR doesn't free up their roster spot. I was in an odd situation once where I had 2 qbs on the IR but wouldn't sign one because it would exceed the roster limit, but couldn't play because I didn't have enough active qbs

The IR thing is definitely retarded, and I honestly can't believe they haven't fixed that. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to write code so that the game doesn't count a player on injured reserve as a part of the active 53.

Oh, and I'm loving Beanie in the game. He lacks the top-end speed to out run everybody, but his tackle breaking ability is insane. I broke out of a three-man tackle once, ran about 20, broke out of the safety's tackle, and went all the way for a score. Clearly the most badass thing ever.

I had a similar thing with the Giants. The game forced me to carry two FS, but the default rosta only has one. So again I had to release someone in order to sign a FS - which there were no decent ones available to trade or get via FA.

In other news, I managed to beat the New Orleans Saints by 77 - 30. Eli threw an NFL record 9 touchdowns in the game. Their defence was terrible.

If plays are called particularly quickly, it runs the set amount off the clock.

Yeah, the accelerated clock gives a more realistic time for plays to be run. You're not going to have 30+ seconds to change things and call your audibles all the time so it makes it a little more true to life.

Apparently Michael Crabtree has been removed from the 49ers depth chart for the upcoming roster update but whether he has been taken out of the game completely we still don't know yet. I hope he's either on the 49ers roster and not on the depth chart or he's out of the game altogether. I don't want him playing for the Bears or something in my franchise.

Tried to play Sqeak (I quit); I hit Y for fair catch only about 1,000 times and never called it --- fumble, returned; game tied 7-7. Next possession, I was taking a sack, computer decides to "pass" as he gets hit, INT. I can't handle that.

Not your fault, just my frustration with Madden. During my loss to DYSI in the league it didn't listen to my bullet passing and caused about 5 INTs... I mean, there is only so hard/long you can press down a button.
