With Beckham being called up (and and all probability starting) then we're obviously going to be crossing the ball into the box. What's the point in doing this with two short players?

Owen's been in decline for years and isn't match fit, whilst Rooney's extremely temperamental for England. Crouch has scored consistently for England (and Liverpool) against any opposition.

You're ignoring the fact that Crouch is generally a spastic in the air, despite his height.

I hope we lose the next two games so McClaren can fuck off.

Unfortunately we'll beat weak Brazil side and scrape a victory against some part-timers, at which point McClaren will be offered a job for life by the FA, the entire team will receive knighthoods and Fat Frank will come out guffawing and telling us how he's proved us all wrong.
