Finished the first four and going to bed. It's done a great, great job of working in callbacks to its signature gags/minor characters (it helps that AD has always been like that so it doesn't feel like desperate fanservice) while also doing a good job with new running gags/plot elements. The run time is a little long, I think, but I don't really mind it. As far as guest stars in the first four go

Seth Rogen as Young(er) George isn't really working for me, but it's offset by Kristen Wiig being dead-on as Young(er) Lucille. John Slattery and Mary-Lynn Rajskub in episode two are both delightful, as is Conan as himself.

Didn't even realise it was Rogen, to be fair. It took me a while to get used to Kristen Wiig as Lucille, but I've got in to it now.

Finished the third episode now. Some genuinely great moments; it's not as immediately funny as some of the early episodes, but it's doing its job perfectly and I'm enjoying it.

After the "11 seconds earlier" flashback after Tobias' "when in the last year have I said anything that makes me sound gay?" I had to pause the episode and laugh for like half a minute.

Finished it all about an hour ago, loved it. The first couple of episodes were a bit slow but that's to be expected - from like the third onward though it hit top form. Tobias' first episode had me laughing the hardest, just absolutely brilliant. I'm glad they added a new bunch of running jokes and didn't just focus on the running jokes already there. And some of the callbacks were pretty subtle.

I already wanna watch it all again.

GOB's complete and utter meltdown whilst trying to break up with Ann is the best.
