It was £10m rising to £15m, which I assume it never did since he was actually at Man United for about a fortnight.

Great bit of business for Palace, Man United basically gave them £7m.

Honestly have no idea why Chelsea have got rid of him in a January window. Poor business.

Well, financially, we got a 33% profit on him (£18m -> £24m). I'm not amazingly sure we would have got more for him six months from now.

I just don't think you should have sold him because he's a good player who scores goals. But I suppose he wants to play more so what can you do.

I think I speak for everyone when I say the only way to make deadline day more interesting is to make it the only day during the season (after August) transfers are allowed.

In fact players should only be allowed to speak to other clubs on this one day a year as well.

Also every team must spend at least £10 million or they lose 6 points in the league.
