How to improve your sport

Football/Soccer: take a leaf out of the NBA's book and give some kind of governing body the power to force owners to sell up, like in the Donald Sterling-LA Clippers scenario. Would help to protect teams from owners that mismanage and damage clubs massively, like at Leyton Orient, Charlton or Coventry.

Baseball

Have the bases remote controlled by the opposing team, when the ball is in play they can move the base around an 18 foot radius from its normal location

Go old-school and just have an arbitrary home run fence where the drunken masses are standing

Plant multiple trees in the outfield

Teams get 2 blindfold chances where they get to put a blindfold on an opposing team's batter every game

Football

Punts and kickoffs through the uprights are worth 2 points

Plant multiple trees on the field

Ice Hockey

Must be played in ponds

Multiple trees in the pond

Basketball

Teams should be able to plant trees as their center

Any team sport:  one team a year wins a Money in the Bank briefcase that they can cash in on the defending champion at any time within a year.  Depending on the sport, one quarter/inning/period/half is played right then and there and if the champion loses, they lose their trophy.

All forms of Auto Racing

At the mid-point of the race, all cars stop and every driver downs a six-pack of non-light beer. (3/4th way through if its a short track, Those have enough wrecks as it is.)

Tennis & Badminton

The ball or shuttlecock is set to explode at random. When it explodes, the last person to hit it loses a point.

Hockey

Get rid of the sticks, gloves and puck, and just have everyone get out there and beat the snot out of each other.

Curling

Attach either c4 or a lit dynamite to the stone, toss the brooms into a woodchipper, and run. Worst, most boring sport currently in the Olympics.

Football: Guaranteed vocational or university education scholarships for academy players up to the age of 23, including all those released by academies before that age.

Don't be so sensible.

Baseball:

Lower the amount of bases to two, the pitcher is allowed to have a run up and throw overarm, the batter has to replace his stick with a bat and should swing it underarm and basically just play cricket because its much better.

American Football:

Get rid of the Fallout Power Armour, no stoppages, you can pass more than once, less adverts. Basically just play rugby.

Basketball:

Just play netball. Nice girls.

Ice Hockey:

More fighting.

I'm not entirely familiar with how young most academies go, but would that include like 6 year olds who are released at age 8 or similar?
