I started watching it on Netflix. I honestly can't tell if I like it. I just watched Don Draper's wife try and shoot a load of pigeons. Episode 9 I think?

I feel like if I stop watching at this point I won't really care. Is Mad Men good? Should I keep going? Does at least one character become likable?

Yes. On both questions. (EDIT: All three.)

What he said. Though this reminds me that I have yet to finish the series.

I will say that like... I like characters on Mad Men but I also think very few of them become likable, per se.

It's probably my favorite show ever, but uhhhh it's kind of an acquired taste. Season 1 is a bit self-contained as they find their footing, and then the ball really gets rolling in season 2 and 3. Season 3 in particular has probably my favorite scene in the entire show (y'all know what it is!). It didn't click for me until my 2nd try watching it, at which point I had a couple of seasons to binge through.

This sums up a lot of the characters. But the writing for them becomes much better once they figure out each character, and as a result the characters become better to watch even if they aren't likable.

I'd like to time-travel back to the sixties to attend concerts and then probably get the fuck out of the sixties.

All of the food on that show looks disgusting. Even when Don or Roger or someone takes a client somewhere swanky, I’m like, “I see why you drink so much and don’t eat.”

I actually just did a rewatch of the entire series because I don't remember the last season all that much. I enjoyed the show very much, S3, S4 and S5 I found to be excellent.

Do you have Now TV? Because the last 7 episodes are on there, not Netflix.

I don't, but if I get that far I'll just take the free trial.
