Yeah, for some strange reason if you download a character you have to go all the way back to the 'press start' screen before they are even acknowledged, and even then they're in a separate area from the rest of the wrestlers on the roster.

I just assumed they'd have a few slots open so that DLC would go straight in without a problem but NOPE.

I've played two matches so far. I lost my first as Mike Quackenbush against Colt Cabana. Second I won as Rikishi against Val Venis. The control set-up is weird. It'll take a while to get used to things. Also the commentary is baaaaaaaad. The amount of customization and the roster though? Heck yeah this game.

Eh, for wrestling game commentary it's pretty much par for the course. Still a decade behind other sports games, but at least it's not as horrid as, say, S:LOW where the three men in the booth act as if they are each having their own separate conversations. Or the Ultimate Muscle game and WILL HE BE ABLE TO PERFORM THAT DEVASTATING TECHNIQUE?.

Wrestling is so dynamic, I don't blame them for having impossible commentary. The basketball games have it good - their commentary is based off something that moves at a predictable pace.

Not to mention, pushes start and stop at such a rapid pace in wrestling to where the commentary can sound very dated very quickly whereas basketball's season wraps up at a good enough point to properly analyze how good x player is (and basketball games are often about how great the players were last time out anyway).

Got this today on PS3. Like what I've played but my shitty TV is so blurry I can't play Attitude Era mode because I can't read the screens. PSN is Dravenbk if anyone wants to play later when I hook a different TV up.

It's weird, but no. The download puts 400 MB if you buy one from the pack the wrestler is from, and after that (if you buy the others from the same pack), it's instantaneous.
