I hate that I am so sensitive to stupid irrelevant crap with clips of speech. Like, even the way that "DON'T YOU DARE BE SOUR" has slightly different inflections to the way it's normally done on TV is going to bug me forever and ever and ever.

Nonetheless, the entrance overall is still so fun that it's succeeding in its job of making me want the game more.

As I said before, the audio in these games is always terrible. Why doesn't Big E even say "clap for your 2 time champs" for?

Go play a UFC game and listen to the commentary and ring announcing and it's no different than the TV broadcasts, as they're putting effort in.

Why don't the WWE guys? Baffling.

The Enzo intro in last years game is a prime example, he just talked.

I completely agree with you, but I imagine that particular detail is due to you perhaps playing a Universe or Career mode where they are the 3, 4, 5 time champions?

It does sound as horrible as always though and there's obviously no need for it, it can be done well as we've seen in so many other games.

It kind of astounds me that in over a decade of wrestling games, the commentary's still at that level. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised at all if they just recycled commentary and only had King/Cole/JBL/whoever go into a booth and say superstar names and then just edited it all together. "Paige [awkward pause] with the SUBMISSION!"

I wish they'd do what they do with the UFC games. IIRC, they get Rogan & his co-commentator to sit down and watch fights (in-game, I wanna say?) and commentate as if it's a real bout, which brings emotion and some banter into play and makes their commentary sound far, far less mechanical.

I've said it before, but I'd like the commentary to either be very good, like with the UFC games, or fantastically bad, like in Just Bring It. "The Rock's...THE ROCK BOTTOM...is extremely powerful" is far more entertaining to me than "He's making a statement here with this attack" and "You've got to be kidding me". If you're going to cobble together generic statements that add nothing to the action, at least go all-in and make it memorably stupid.
