As someone who's become less interested in my team in favour of players as a whole, I think this season has the potential to be super entertaining. I hope we get some really fun narratives out of it. Also, if we get rid of the DH, then I will stop messing up my substitutions in MLB The Show.

Forgive me for missing something here but do you mind elaborating. Is there someone else the team would give the DH slot to instead of the guy who would have otherwise sit on the bench? EDIT: Nevermind. I mis-read your post.

The weird thing is there was a pause in Wednesday's game due to injury and I swear I saw guys just taking random bottles. I guess they definitely could have been marked but when I saw it, I thought it was strange.

The Phillies confirmed today that 5 players and 3 coaches tested positive for COVID-19. They are testing 32 other people for the virus.

The other big piece I can see is whether players can opt out if they have family members who are at-risk. Could be what the grievance thing is about.

Basically seemed like the one thing the players wanted more than anything was that it was at the pro-rated pay scale that was agreed to earlier. MLB was saying that those numbers were always with the consideration that there would be fans at games but nevertheless, that seemed to be the biggest sticking point.

I really liked what Manfred was doing when he came in but these negotiations have been brutal.

In the campaign we are currently playing, our party ended up at a lodge with a group of hunters. Each month, they have a compeition to see who can hunt the best thing. There are all sorts of fun characters in the lodge, but my current favourite is Gog, some sort of goblin, but bigger. He loes hunting other goblins. One of our group members couldn't make our session this week, so our DM wrote a little side mission. Basically, even though you are supposed to hunt something impressive and you can only submit 1 thing to the hunt, Gog always submits like 15 goblins that he's killed. He has found an area near the Lodge he calls Gogland where there are caves full of goblins. Our side mission was that he joined him and played a game of who can kill the most goblins.

I moved in with some friends I knew from summer camp entering my last year of university. Season 4 was set to air near the end of our term. They convinced me to watch the first 3 seasons leading up to the new season. I knew what happened to Ned when I started watching and I was totally spoiled on the Red Wedding. I remember watching The Purple Wedding with them and that was the first real shocker for me. I then went and read all the books and re-watched the seasons before each new season came out. Can't believe it ended so poorly that I have no interest in going back to it.

Didn't realize Martin was a Boras client. Thought it was odd that he fell to us, but that makes a little more sense. The Jays hadn't signed a Boras client in free agency until Ryu last season, so will be interesting to see how that relationship moves forward. Boras does not seem to be a huge fan of the Jays.

I see a lot of replies to any tweet about the negotiations where fans just want Manfred to start the season or think the players are being ridiculous. They're responses are all filled with "We just want baseball to start!" or whatever. I don't get how they don't see that if the MLBPA gets totally fucked over, there is a high likelihood that there is a strike at the end of next season. I can see why players would end up playing in a 50-game season, especially those who are on a league minimum or whatnot. But it will be very interesting to see what some people do if others decide to sit out. Players who are at risk can sit out and won't forfeit pay or service time, but those who have family members who are at risk won't get to do the same thing. I can see players like Sean Doolittle taking a stand against that sort of thing. This whole thing could get quite messy.

So what is the deal with the 50 games thing? Can the players just refuse to play in it?

Yeah, but I also find it pretty satisfying to role a natural 20 online. We added an old friend of ours who lives in British Columbia now, so we'll probably keep playing online moving forward and I absolutely don't mind.

Stupid new Queer Eye got me crying in the first episode!

Watched all the Mighty Ducks movies recently. I don't get why Coach Bombay didn't use the same tactic in D2 than he did in the first movie. Simply re-draw the district lines so you can steal Iceland's best player!

Finished the game yesterday. What a fun ride. I really enjoyed it and thought the characters were all really well thought out and complex. Going to take a break for a while but will eventually go back and try and finish all the side missions and collectibles.

I think just from a gameplay standpoint, I'd prefer that someone like Strowman be in the game under that name. It's always annoying when you're looking for someone and can't find them because they're listed under a real name you don't recognize.
