  1. Judd Trump's 6-3 down going into tomorrow's session. If he's out, Neil Robertson has to be the clear favourite to win the tournament. Thepchaiya Un-Nooh is proof that fast, attacking play isn't exclusive to Ronnie O'Sullivan. It's a line of recurring comment on the BBC website, which is admittedly a hive of angry, old men most of the time. However, I've always noticed a clear increase in rowdy, unpleasant fans in attendance when Ronnie's playing. It used to be like that when Jimmy White was one of the top players too. They perpetuate the myth that Ronnie is the only reason the majority of people watch snooker, which is demonstrably untrue. Yes, he's the biggest name in the game, but the majority of regular viewers watch for the love of the game, not because of one person. That was a crazy match, as was the Stephen Maguire victory. Along with the Shaun Murphy whitewash and O'Sullivan's shock defeat, this has been the most interesting first round I can remember since perhaps 2000, when both Hendry and O'Sullivan went out. If Trump loses, it'll probably eclipse that in my mind.
  2. And then snooker will collapse, or maybe it'll be completely fine, just like every other time Ronnie has sodded off.
  3. I could quite easily do without any of the sex scenes.
  4. Cahill's always been a decent player, as he showed when he beat Mark Selby and Ding Junhui in the past. To beat Ronnie O'Sullivan over 19 frames, however, is something else. Cahill's always been a decent player, as he showed when he beat Mark Selby and Ding Junhui in the past. To beat Ronnie O'Sullivan over 19 frames, however, is something else. It's also a great twist because Ronnie has made it known that he resents having to play low-ranked opponents, calling them "numpties". Now one of them has beaten him on the biggest stage, so good riddance to him.
  5. Brienne's one of the characters I think I prefer in the show, or at least I prefer her scenes. Gwendoline Christie plays her well and makes her feel like one of the most genuine characters on the show. It's quite an achievement that she's so liked by fans in this environment of toxic fans who hate strong female characters.
  6. James Cahill, an amateur, is one frame away from victory against Ronnie. I'll cry if he doesn't seal it. EDIT: Fantastic!
  7. It would be interesting seeing Chris Wilder manage in the Premier League. I remember seeing him play for Notts County over twenty years ago.
  8. Much better than the first episode, in my opinion. They gave it time to breathe. I'm worried that the next one will be a bit crap, though.
  9. At least it's not days in advance like it has been in the past. The funny thing is that most book readers were very considerate when it came to not blurting out spoilers for years, yet when an episode leaks now, mainstream sites can't post ultra revealing screenshots quickly enough. Not everyone is going to trawl through the dark recesses of the internet to find copies before the official air time, so it's irritating when big sites can't respect that.
  10. That was one of the rare occasions in which a hard punch to the knackers was a mercy.
  11. That doesn't really appeal to me, but Bojack didn't from the trailers either, and that's now almost my favourite show at the moment.
  12. Neil Robertson is smashing Michael Georgiou right now. Looking at the top half of the draw, I'd be surprised if he didn't reach the final.
  13. Thanks for the information. I'll hold off on buying it because I picked up Rayman Legends in the European sale. I played it and loved it on PS4, but I fancied having it on a handheld too. The new features are fantastic and I'm having a lot of fun once again.
  14. I definitely agree. It's the quintessential Ubisoft sandbox syndrome (not to pick on them too much as others are doing it too now, although Ubisoft seem to be at the forefront). You've got plenty of fun things to do, but they're interspersed with sections that are more tedious than enjoyable, and they're more often than not copy-and-paste affairs that serve only to add a few more pointless hours to the experience. It's one of the things that the Yakuza games get right. They have side-quests that are story-driven and mini-games that are fun and varied, and they're also entirely optional. My opinion is that if something isn't fun after you've already done it once or twice, it's better left alone.
  15. Sounds like an expensive few months.
  16. Is Cuphead's difficulty the good kind or the bad kind? An example of bad difficulty would be a lack of checkpoints and the necessity to replay easier parts for several minutes before losing at the same part time and time again, meaning that the process repeats. Good difficulty would be Super Meat Boy, where the levels are short and dying is never too much of an inconvenience as a result.
  17. I wonder if that kind of diplomacy works on The Night King.
  18. Oh, holy ballsacks! I mentioned XIII in this thread and it's now being remade for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch. That's legitimately my favourite bit of games news of the year so far.
  19. I've read that it's a really good port that's pretty much indistinguishable from the Xbox version.
  20. Jarrell Miller has been denied a licence to fight Anthony Joshua is New York after an "adverse finding" came up in a drugs test. That could make AJ's US debut a damp squib. Also, Amir Khan's fight with Terence Crawford is this weekend. I don't see anything other than a Crawford stoppage, but Khan fights are usually entertaining, so I'll definitely give it a listen.
