  1. With Shadow of the Tomb Raider also added recently, that's two pretty big games that only released within the last few months. Microsoft is really bringing it.
  2. Real losing is a good start, but I'm also hoping that Barcelona don't win the competition either. That would be boring. A new winner is what I'm looking for.
  3. This looks like a decent list. It sorts the characters out into families, along with the Night's Watch, the Wildlings and a miscellaneous group.
  4. I won't be watching any trailers. I want to know as little as possible before the episodes air.
  5. And he paid his dues by putting over Brienne.
  6. The Mountain's overhyped. He's only beaten jobbers, and Oberyn had him beaten until he got cocky. They should have given him a midcard feud to help him get over.
  7. I think one part of it was that he banned trials by combat, seemingly denying fans their precious Cleganebowl for a little while. I'd say that getting rid of a judicial system that's heavily biased in favour of warriors or warriors' friends is a good thing, but I'm obviously not a fully paid-up member of the "GET HYPE" brigade.
  8. I don't really get that either. She might have been a grumpy teenage girl in the first series, but she always struck me as someone to root for after that. Something else I've had problems with is how some people hated Tommen more than Joffrey. Tommen was a well-meaning person who was easily manipulated, whereas Joffrey was a vicious bastard who would have been been pummelled on a daily basis if he hadn't been lucky enough to be born into royalty. If anything, Tommen's reign was going fine until Tywin died, and much of the chaos that arose afterwards stemmed from Cersei's bad decisions.
  9. Robbie Lawler should be careful. He could have hurt him.
  10. I don't see anything wrong with musical simplicity. If you like the sound, why should you care? It seems to me that some people get more wound up about other people's musical tastes than they do about enjoying their own. I've noticed a lot more aggression from people insisting that a particular genre or artist is objectively terrible than I do in any other entertainment form. As long as you aren't being made to listen to music you don't like, I don't see why you should give a toss whether or not someone you know would rather listen to Joy Division than New Order. I quite enjoy Village People. They're a fun band with some catchy hits. Telling people that, however, is apparently some sort of social taboo, and for seemingly no good reason. Likewise in a rather different way with Meat Loaf. He's not my favourite, but I like some of his songs. A fair few people would call me names for saying that, but I suppose I never got the memo on which acts everyone is supposed to scoff at. We should all like what we like and dislike what we dislike. I'm happy to say what I don't like, but I have no intention of judging someone else who does like it. That's just silly.
  11. I like '80s pop and rock. I find it catchy and fun. I'm also not keen on most punk rock from the '80s and '90s. I think some earlier punk is OK, but I don't like the bands consisting of heavily tattooed wannabe tough guys shouting about breaking things and how people are posers. Henry Rollins, for example, strikes me as being a massive dickhead back in the day.
  12. Resident Evil 4, 0 and Remake are going to be £29.99 on the Switch. Each. There's a fair amount of urinary extraction going on here.
  13. I haven't played TEW beyond the demos, but I've got a lot out of WMMA and agree with you. I've enjoyed playing through saves in which I work through the business side of things, and also those in which I turn on the fantasy settings and see how the world unfolds.
  14. I've found that the base game has a 50% discount on Steam, but the Promoter Mode is full price.
  15. I find so-called "enigmatic" sports stars, such as Eric Cantona, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Nick Kyrgios, totally unappealing. It's completely possible to be a fun character without being a complete prick.
  16. I'd be more inclined to watch The Great British Bake-Off if Paul Hollywood slowly and dramatically put on a black glove before trying the food.
  17. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness are March's Playstation Plus games. I'll miss posting actual lists now that the PS3 and Vita support has been dropped.
  18. The world looks nice, if a tad rough around the edges. It's certainly getting to the point of detail that people who played the GameBoy games have dreamt of. I don't know if mainline Pokemon games are really for me, but I'll keep an eye on this. It was also mentioned during the Direct show that there would be other Pokemon-related projects this year, and I'd really be keen on a Let's Go for the Gold/Silver generation.
  19. That's a timely comment. It's been confirmed today that it's coming to the Switch.
  20. It's also unclear as to how well the old greats would do today, or equally how well today's stars would get on decades ago. Training and coaching methods are different, as is the way club and international football is organised. When I look at how the athletics records have progressed over the decades, it makes me wonder about how the quality has developed in other sports, like football. Professional athletes are evidently getting faster and stronger on average, but is that down to better training regimes or someone more to do with the evolution of the human species? If today's footballers are fitter and more athletic now than ever before, are their technical skills similarly superior to their forerunners?
