  1. There's a short Nintendo Direct tomorrow that is expected to reveal details about the next generation of Pokemon games on the Switch.
  2. I'm inclined to agree, but who do you think is the greatest?
  3. I think I'd prefer the fourth one too, but only because I haven't played it yet.
  4. Resident Evil Remake, 0 and 4 are coming to Switch in May, having been previously announced. Saints Row The Third will also be releasing during the same month.
  5. I have this problem with cricket. When I was at school, there'd always be one or two people who wore full cricket whites during PE and did all the silly exaggerated run-ups, follow-throughs and ball-rubbing when warming up. If football's a game for thugs, cricket's a game for arrogant bumballoons.
  6. I'm a bit surprised by the online comments I'm seeing about Sophie Turner being a terrible actor. I think she's great. In fact, in the recent spirit of hot takes, I think she's better than Maisie Williams.
  7. That's the impression I got, really. Many of the old issues still sound as though they're present.
  8. Is this worth the upgrade from last year?
  9. Rumours are circulating that Notts County could be going into administration. If that happens, and unless some unforeseen multi-millionaire comes out of the woodwork, that's it. The club's doomed.
  10. I'd rather the term "indie" wasn't used in games because nobody can agree on what it means. I've been part of a couple of indie games sites in the past, and it was a constant issue. If you want to define indie games as ones that aren't self-published, then Portal 2 is indie and Hotline Miami isn't. There are also plenty of people who complain about "indie" games being part of Playstation Plus lineups, when they're actually referring to digital-only games produced on a comparatively small budget. Basically, it's a web of nitpicky arguments that go nowhere and lead to elitism on both ends of the scale. There are great games that come from all kinds of developer backgrounds and budget ranges.
  11. Olympics coverage is different in the UK. You can watch live, uninterrupted coverage of any sport on the BBC website.
  12. Kepa looks as though he's playing BASEketball.
  13. I suppose this is the football equivalent of when a wrestler turns heel by refusing to tag in and walking off down the ramp, leaving their partner to get double-teamed.
  14. And Sarri had to just accept it? Madness.
  15. I just tuned in. What the heck just happened with Sarri?
  16. That's what I like about the Olympics. They draw attention to sports that don't otherwise get much coverage, and they give participants of such sports a rare chance to shine in front of a big audience. For that reason, I'd rather sports that are massive outside the Olympics, like football, golf and tennis, weren't part of it.
  17. I doubt many people will disagree here. It's often cited as the bugbear of gamers.
  18. I'd much rather watch lower league football than top flight football. I think the atmosphere is better and the relative lack of predictability makes things more exciting. This is something that puts me off. I quite like baseball, but I find it very hard to engage with the MLB until the playoffs.
  19. You can turn the camera when you're moving, but not in vehicles. However, there is a mod which changes that.
  20. England looked really poor compared to their previous two matches. I had a bad feeling from about the 50-minute mark.
  21. I only played No Mercy years after it was released and thought it was quite good, but I'd probably prefer it if I'd played it back in the day. I was playing Smackdown then, and I really liked Smackdown 2. I don't imagine many people playing it for the first time now would be all that enthusiastic, but it's one that's stuck in the memory for me. I actually thought the Smackdown series was consistently good until a few years ago. I even had a lot of fun with Just Bring It.
