  1. Just because you don't understand the lyrics or they don't appear to make sense to you, doesn't mean its entirely without meaning. If they are a mildly popular band, or a band known for its lyrics then you can consult other fans for their views on what the song actually means. Or you could go to www.songmeanings.net . It does get irritating when you have a song with over 100 replies and people simply going "omfg dis song rox"
  2. The release date has been confirmed as September 13/14th of this year and has been confirmed as that for over a month. Granted, it could change, but at the moment Square have said that it will come out on this date. And it will be dubbed with English actors, and the European release date has simply been put at "Before the end of this year", but thats likely to change.
  3. Just thought I would mention that im happy that Saskia has gone. Her annoying accent, her stupid "comebacks" and her fucking irritating egotism and stupidity got on my right raving titties. Granted, both teams are as bad as each other, but at least "Team Diva" can hit a good entertaining one liner every now and then as opposed to saying "I hope you're brave" or "Get a life ya fuckin prick"
  4. KOTOR was designed by Obsidian Entertainment, Lego Star Wars was developed by Traveller's Tales and Giant Interactive. Lucasarts occasionally let other companies use their license. In the case of those few games, it actually worked. As to bring up the other game you mentioned, Republic Commando is just your average FPS with a Star Wars license. Also, I just found out that Empire At War is being developed by a different company too. Who knows? Maybe it won't suck. And im totally with you on the Battle of Hoth front though. I've played a lot of Star Wars games in my time and its the only thing that keeps cropping up that irritates me. Im so fed up of playing that level.
  5. I saw the video they showed at E3 and wasn't really impressed, just interested. If its basically Homeworld: Star Wars Edition but with a few added extras, im sold already. But Lucasarts have been knocking out a lot of shitty games recently. I don't have high hopes, but it looks nice I guess.
  6. I honestly don't know if the mass media over here even view him that way, but if Richard and Judy take him seriously then he must be the shit. Nah. Most of my friends make fun of him whenever he crops up, mainly because hes such a talentless wanker. Other than that, I really don't know what most other people think about him, hes a known celebrity, but not one many people give a shit about.
  7. I bought a DS about 2 months ago, I think its fantastic. Granted, there aren't a lot of games out at the moment that are worth having, but its still fairly early days for the consoles lifespan. Personally, I was only going to buy a PSP just for the huge amount of hacks you can get for it, including the ability to emulate hundreds of different games. Other than that, theres nothing that interests me about it.
  8. Bruce Campbell is truely a god amongst men, definately anything by him, never mind the endless crap that he has been in, at least he is entertaining enough to get me to watch a movie simply because he is in it.
  9. The FF6 soundtrack is impeccable, they even released a CD full of orchestrated versions of songs from the game called "Grande Finale". Opening track has the intro to "Dancing Mad" which then goes straight into "Tinas Theme". Ohhhh yeaaaahhhhh.
  10. http://www.ocremix.org/ Ok, its not *really* in game music, but its remixed versions of in game music. Because a large chunk of game music can be bought legally, its difficult to provide you with URLs to websites without me being at risk of a ban. I do recommend that you check out that website regardless. Not only does it have a lot of MP3s of remixed and covered game songs but has a large amount of links to bands that do the same thing. Granted, it might not be your cup of tea, but theres nothing like someone taking some of your favourite midi-esque game music and turning it into a heavy metal song
  11. Nobuo Uematsu has pretty much been involved in every single Final Fantasy soundtrack to date, the amount of scores he has composed is vast, I particularly love the FF9 OST. That said, if its FF7 songs you are looking for: J-E-N-O-V-A Those Who Fight Further Judgement Day The Birth of God Jenova Absolute The first two were covered by the Black Mages too. Very good covers may I add. There are also 3 songs from the FF7 soundtrack that were later given the orchestral treatment : "One Winged Angel", "Aeriths Theme" and "Main Theme". Theres nothing really on the FF7 soundtrack thats as good as One Winged Angel though. Check out "Liberi Fatali", thats a pretty powerful song, plays during the intro of FF8.
  12. You, because you put the effort into replying. ←
  13. Yeah, I really don't expect much from Lionhead anymore. After disappointment with both Black & White and Fable after the stupidly large amount of hype surrounding them I really wouldn't be suprised when they release the game that half of the features have been cut out and theres nothing remotely interesting about the game.
  14. I was going to get Smackdown VS Raw, but the fact that Smackdown is basically becoming a FIFA style affair, with each new release offering small new features that are flawed or make no fucking difference.
  15. Yeah this has been out for almost 2 weeks now. The pictures made me laugh hard when I saw them, but they look really stupid and awkward.
  16. DAVID Tennant. And he was great in Casanova (As was the whole show itself in my opinion) so I have high hopes for the the Christmas episode.
  17. Yeah, i've listened to the Lock Up before, mainly because they played a lot of bands I liked, the only show that I have listened to that actually bothered to play Refused on several occasions. But that list is shit.
  18. Weden, I was going to type out a 2000 word reply in order to argue with your point, but it turns out you are right.
  19. Louis Theroux meets the Nazis. Remember it well. Good TV show. I do laugh at people who adore Skrewdriver. Granted, they might have been bigger if they didn't push their politics around, but that doesn't stop me thinking that they are a shitty band with shitty music. And Ian Stuart looked like a potato. Also, the conspiracies surrounding his death are also amusing.
  20. Yet theres going to be some dumb fuck who blames the game for bullying.
  21. Greg MacPherson. Hes got one album and one EP out as far as I know, but you can download a load of straight up acoustic stuff straight from his website. I think he sounds a lot better without a band, much more aggressive yet heartfelt.
  22. School Daze - The Next Generation.
