  1. The problem has nothing to do with genres. The fact is, rock music isnt as popular as it used to be, it's not as mainstream as it once was, rock music doesnt define the present generation like it has for previous generations. Hip-Hop & R&B are the most popular forms of music with the youth of today. Rock isnt dead, it's just not the centre of popular music anymore, it's not 'cool' like it was in previous decades. Who knows how the landscape will change in the future, rock will probably have a revival, but at the moment, Hip-Hop and R&B are dominating the popular music scene, artists from those genres get pushed more on MTV than bands/artists from any other genre.
  2. EBG, is there a reason why Mark Hunt isn't on the upcoming PRIDE show?
  3. Shit, they got married already? Are you sure? I thought they'd just started dating...
  4. If she 'deserved' to win the tournament she should at least be in the final Go Serena
  5. This thread is gonna lead to flame-city, but hey, who gives a fuck? (ie. my next sentence >_> ) Yes, Good Charlotte ARE complete poser twat/wannabes, but what else is new in the world of pop-music!? Live, on the other hand are a very good band, i thought everyone knew about them? I've never heard any one say anything bad about them either, a very inoffensive lot. In terms of my picks, hmm... This is hard since most of the music i listen to is dated, and hence people dont bother to shit on it (not that they would of heard of most of the bands, see sig, but hey), let's see.... -Sepultura? I've even warmed slightly to their most recent album after swearing off the post-Max line-up. Im a die-hard 'old-school' Sepultura fan, ie. anything from Roots on back i think is great, but i have always HATED derek green, his vocals really are complete shit compared to Maxs' in my opinion. Wait a minute, i'm criticising the band im complaining about other people criticising... Ok, how about, 'old' Sepultura? They seem to get no love whatsoever, at least from people i know. -The White Stripes? I mean, not 'everyone' criticises them, but i've heard alot.
  6. The Malcolm X movie, the assasination scene, very graphic, and Angela Bassett acts it beautifully.
  7. Wowsers, Afridi was on fire today, 56 off 26 or something, insane, awesome to watch, if only he was consistent, but my Afridi-love has been affirmed, i told you!
  8. Sounds good VP, i'll check em' out, i think you may have mentioned this before, i may be making that up though, i cant completely remember, but (i think) you said good things about them before, and i've been thinking about checking out some of their music but never got around to it, so thanks for the reminder (Y)
  9. Well PWX is in the works at the moment Zero, they're currently building a fully playable demo, they've got full funding from the canadian government.
  10. The best part was clearly the sex-scene, just so bizzarely funny (arousing >_>), although Stone and Parker have to be two of most childish adults in the history of humanity
  11. I saw it with low expectations and i really enjoyed it, lots of classic stuff, Napoleons older brother was hilarious, i like his heavy breathing and just the general quirkiness of his character (and the other characters too), good stuff.
  12. Well you're starting behind the 8-ball when you've got Ben Affleck signed on for a move Will Smith is tolerable/good (most of the time), but outside of Dogma, im not really a fan of anything Affleck has done, in terms of his actual acting in a movie.
