  1. It looked a bit awkward but I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as that Arsenal v Bayern thing. He does point for advantage but doesn't seem to see Areola had collided with the post, from a Laws of the Game perspective it's fine for him to blow up to stop for the injury. From a pure sportsmanship perspective it would have been ludicrous to allow a goal if Gakpo puts it in. Messy but just one of those things, injuries and drop balls are a complete disaster these days.
  2. Better that than the now ridiculous Dan Ashworth transfer saga.
  3. This worries me as I watched the first last week and found it painfully dull. A five year old could write "then they went here and picked someone up" five times, and having so many characters with absolutely zero character is almost impressive. I presume all the non exposition stuff is in the 4 hour director's cut.
  4. West Ham 1 vs. 3 Liverpool (Sat 12.30pm, TNT) Fulham 1 vs. 2 Crystal Palace (Sat 3pm) Wolves 0 vs. 1 Luton (Sat 3pm) Aston Villa 3 vs. 1 Chelsea (Sat 8pm, TNT) Tottenham 1 vs. 1 Arsenal (Sun 2pm, Sky)
  5. The only person you could sack him for that would have any impact on this season would be Pep.
  6. Give it to Spearing til the end of the season. Fuck off VAR, what's Will Hughes doing with his arm other than blatantly impeding Longstaff.
  7. It looks absurd and hopefully brilliant. Now going to try and avoid any further trailers as I want as many surprises as possible.
  8. Whoever he is he'd be shit at our predictor.
  9. I just can't figure out why they think that having their employee double down on their already ill advised tweet is a good idea. If the league don't massively punish them I'd be stunned, and they deserve it. The best line is "if I was head of the referees organisation" which he now absolutely will never be. Now seen them. First two aren't pens, third one I'd love to hear the audio as the ref clearly thinks Young gets the ball, the VAR should surely disagree. That one's a pen, and at very least needed review. Doesn't change any of the above though.
  10. True neutrals certainly, but there's a shitload of Europe permutations flying about. I was hoping for Coventry v Man City, now just hoping for a Man City win.
  11. Not seen any, but Forest not happy.
  12. Indeed. Highly motivating. And I've just realised I massively mangled the playoff structure and forgot the quarter final stage... Still find the "2 teams go up" silly.
  13. Semi EFL (and also because I can't be arsed to find the National League thread), Gateshead have been prevented from taking part in the playoffs due to ground issues. Ruddy council. Weirdly because they've already set the fixtures 5th place Solihull have been given a bye to the final while 4th place Altrincham still have to play a semi.
  14. I'm not a fan of the phrase "farewell tour" like he's David Tennant leaving Dr Who. There probably isn't a better option but feels very weird.
