  1. First two episodes have been amazing. Given how their production schedule goes, they can keep this going for years.
  2. The Falcons' offensive coordinator is Kyle Shanahan and Grossman has been with Shanahan every season since 2008, except for 2014 with Cleveland. (Even then, he spent two weeks in training camp with the Browns). Grossman knows Shanahan's system and could step in to play without having to practice much. He's a security blanket.
  3. Apparently, Glynn Turman (who played Mayor Royce in Seasons 3 and 4), was the actual runner-up to Harrison Ford to be cast as Han Solo. Originally, the character was going to be black, but George Lucas changed the character to be white after he realized that Solo was going to be a love interest for Princess Leia, and didn't want to deal with the headaches of having an interracial relationship. Moral of the story is...George Lucas is a racist.
  4. I know for whatever reason, somebody has an unnatural love for Kellen Moore. Well, today Jim Caldwell said today the Lions won't commit to carrying three QBs on the 53-man roster. Moore has been with the Lions three years and has never dressed for a game. During Moore's time with the Lions, Matthew Stafford has taken 99.2% of the snaps at QB for the Lions.
  5. The long steadicam shot in "Goodfellas" where Ray Liotta and Lorraine Bracco are walking into the Copa through the back. Bonus points if it's in one take.
  6. I'm starting to think hell be offered a deal similar to the "West Memphis Three," which was an "Alford Plea." That allows the defendant to still proclaim his innocence, but recognize that there is enough evidence to convict them at trial. The WM3 were allowed to plead guilty to first degree murder and maintain their innocence, and were re-sentenced to time served (18 years) and were immediately released from prison.
  7. Michael Sam quit the CFL, said he's taking time to away to concentrate on his "mental health."
  8. I think the biggest thing to come from it will be that studios will be very hesitant to to drastically sway from the source material when it comes to casting. I bet there's some delusional executive somewhere at Fox saying that people didn't see the movie because Michael B. Jordan was Johnny Storm.
  9. Season 3 of "Orange is the New Black" just completely fell off the rails at the end. There's still good stuff in there but they are just trying to do too much with too many people. We are also just about at "the meaning of Jack's tattoos" with the flashbacks.
  10. Hey, Coach Taylor has a message for you at the movies
  11. Also, I'm six episodes into "Review" and it's freaking amazing. It also has some of the worst cringe humor this side of "Scott's Tots."
  12. Shut up about your catering business!

Don't go around telling Derek about this

  13. Chris Pratt's appearance on The Nerdist cements he may be the coolest movie star ever. Though way too much of the episode involved Chris Hardwick talking about how Pratt transformed from his Andy Dwyer body into his Starlord body and Hardwick used that as a stepping stone to talk about how he used to be fat.
  14. That's how I felt about it. Paul Rudd is a charming guy and Michael Douglas was really good, but honestly you are not missing anything if you don't see this. The most consequential part of the plot and the greater MCU was the after-credits scene (the second one). Corey Stoll is a really good actor but I have a hard time buying him as the Big Bad in super hero movie. At most, he should be playing the role of assistant to the evil megalomaniac, i.e. Hamish Linklater's role in "The Fantastic Four." But Rudd said a line that makes the most sense out of anything ever said in a Marvel movie, given the scope of what we know the MCU is. "Why don't we just call 'The Avengers'?"
  15. Or watch the legit version In a completely original turn of events, Rick goes crazy and starts bossing everybody around.
  16. Somebody is making the Saved by the Bell wiki into the best thing on the internet
  17. The direction they took season 3 is very disappointing. Piper Kerman's real story is actually much interesting than the "wacky lesbians in prison" direction they took the show.
