What's the line on Big Dunc to Pompey? Does he want to stay with you? I don't know what you'd do if he went as well.

Speaking of teh Pomp, looks like Matt Taylor is Fulham bound. Seems odd.

Not a rumour, not a gossip story, just pure hope.....

But I hope David Thompson goes to Wigan, and Lorenzo Amoruso just goes.

Then all the deadwood will be gone from the squad. Hurrah!

Aye Thompson went, sad because he can play but we have been patience enough with his injuries. Amoruso I keep forgetting he is on the books.

The whole Ahn saga isn't helping us. I don't think he would cut the Premiership msyelf and if eh is messing us about then forgot it. We have a settled squad and don't need a bit player coming in and stirring shit up.

Dawson, that is one quality Tottenham player. I watched him on Saturday, he seriously impressed me.

So, who do you think will win the race for Theo?

I don't see what all the fuss is about, just another over-rated teenager in my book.

Basically if Walcott does go, it'll be to Arsenal because he's got his dad and his agent telling him that Arsenal are the best choice because of the way we look after youngsters. There's also the fact he wants to play alongside Thierry Henry.

Personally, I've never actually seen him play, but everyone seems to be blowing their load over how great he is, so there must be something there.

Walcott is fucking awesome.

I've seen him a play a few times, he is electric, he might be as fast as Thierry. He is brilliant on the ball too and always runs back to help defend.

If you don't sign him, I will cry, especially if he goes to Chelski or god fordbid, Tottenham.

According to a reporter on BBC South, Saints wonderkid, Theo Walcott, will have a medical at Arsenal tomorrow.

Rumours have been rife for almost a week now, and with nothing materialising, many fans, including myself, are getting sick of such reports, and as such, this will be the last rumour I publish until a signing is made.

I just thought you might like to see the quote that was made today, the reporter said

'Arsenal appear to have won the race to sign southamptons Theo Walcott. The 16 year old is likely to have a medical with the London club tomorrow as I understand'

Make of that what you will.

Got that from an Arsenal website.

This is turning into another Baptista saga tbh. Hopefully it'll end better.

Wigan have completed a double swoop for Blackburn's David Thompson and Liverpool striker Neil Mellor.

Midfielder Thompson signed a short-term deal following his release by Rovers, while Mellor has joined on loan until the end of the season.

Mellor, 23, has not played under Rafael Benitez this season, while Thompson, 28, has made just eight appearances.

Wigan boss Paul Jewell has been looking to build on his side's start to the season which sees them lying sixth.

Thompson has suffered a host of injury problems over the last few years.

The difficulties started in 2003 when a knee ligament problem kept him out for nine months.

He broke two bones in his foot after just 17 minutes of his comeback game against Manchester United in August 2004 which forced him to spend three months on the sidelines.

Further surgery to finally correct the injury followed last summer.

Complications with his knee then arose on a pre-season tour of Germany and he has been restricted to just three starts this season.

"David has shown a real hunger to be involved with the Wigan project," said Jewell.

"He's a talented lad who can play in a number of positions and he also has an eye for goal.

"I only believe in bringing players in who add something new to our squad, and in signing David we have done that."

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes added that he felt the time was right to let the former Coventry player leave.

"It has been difficult for David. He has had a lot of injuries and he was coming to the end of his contract here," said Hughes.

"We have a lot of options in midfield, and it was a case of looking at the balance of the squad and seeing what we need for next year."

Thanks lazy_arse, I knew I forgot one.

Wise to Coventry, btw. Wonder how long that will last.
