Foreign Music You Don'T Understand But Like

As it says on the tin. I imagine a lot of Scandanavian metal popping up here.

Anyway, for me Heroes Del Silencio. They do "Avalancha" on GH3. I've got 6 of their songs now, and maybe it's because I don't understand Spanish and the slightly proggy music, their songs really do have an 'epic' quality about them. If you go to their website on the home page, they have one of their songs being played live, and with the crowd lapping it up, it sounds great.

Does Rammstein count?

I came in here to mention them too. I understand some (from looking up lyrics and stuff) but nowhere near all and they're still one of the most kickass bands ever.

I listen to a bunch of J-Pop, and I don't understand a word of most of it.

I like some Rammstein, even though I don't understand it. Funnily enough, I think the English language version of "Du Hast" sucks, and I've purposely avoided looking for anything else they've done in English - if they've even done anything else in English, that is.

My favorite song by them is probably either "Sonne" or "Engel".

Die Toten Hosen...I got into them with one of their english language albums, but really enjoy their stuff all around. Always liked the german language even though I can't speak it

and Paha Uskonto..they are/were a finnish Bad Religion tribute band..even the names means Bad Religion in finnish. Now, of course since I like Bad Religion, I know what their singing..but I really like the language and the way the songs come across

Maximum The Hormone, japanese mix of everything.. in a punk / metal version. And alot of Finnish bands like Moonsorrow and Korpiklaani. Also Finntroll.

I actually was just introduced to Maximum The Hormone last night. My brother mentioned something about the opening theme of Death Note ("What's Up People?!") and so I watched the show just to hear the theme he was talking about and it's all kinds of fucking awesome.

That's because when they're sung in English, you realise how much the lyrics actually suck ¬_¬

Anyway, yeah, Scandinavian metal; Kotteteliosuus (Bushy will correct that later, can't be arsed :P), Korpiklaani, Finntroll, the odd bits of Finnish in Kiuas songs, although I've translated most of that. Rhapsody (of Fire)'s Italian songs too, although it's pretty obvious what Lamento Eroico is about, and phrases like "gloria perpetua" don't take much translating.
