1-0 down at half-time, which I'm not especially surprised by because Chelsea have a well developed habit now of not waking up until they concede. I predicted a draw of some form before the game, but to be honest I'm not convinced by this winger-less 4-4-2 diamond Ancelotti's gone for. All the opposition need to do is place a great big wall of players down the middle as Sunderland have been doing, and we just can't get through. It's a bit like the predicament we had under Scolari when the midfield players would always try and advance straight through 3 defenders into the box, for an apparent lack of any wider option, to no avail.

We need to at least get Malouda on in the second half as a player who's willing to advance down the wing.

Given Rico and Malbranque are nursing injuries I wasn't too bothered, 1-0 up at half time brought me hope but Chelsea punting 3 past us showed that even if they struggle to bang them in against most teams, they still always arse rape us.

I'm not too fussed 5th-20th (minus where we are) are the teams we need to focus on beating, anything off the big four is a bonus. Bring on Blackburn, still full of hope.
