therockbox
Shearer as manager with Sammy Lee as his assistant. A winning combination.
13805
o'neil, cappello, mourinho all top class managers who i want to see manage england but the problem is that the fa are always to scared to get a strict manager cuz they'd leave out big names. the fa screw up every time by putting an unproven manager in the hot seat. I mean come on wot has Mclaren won??? a league cup! That's nothing!
Scott McFly
Would've been interesting to see Scotland and England in the same group, but I assume it's still possible for some of the home nations to be drawn in the same group? Crybaby Bunting
Considering ALL home nations have been knocked out of Euro 2008 it looks unlikely
King Ellis
Well, Republic and Northen Ireland are in the 3rd seeds and Wales in the 4th so there's a chance.
stokeriño
England and Wales (or Scotland and Wales, come to that) in the same group would be good fun. Ireland doesn't count.
Renegade
The AI of Football Manager should be the new England coach. We always seem to win World Cups on that game. Just imagine it, you could have Microsoft Sam giving the team talks at half time, it'd be great.
Adam
What are the odds England'll get Croatia as the top seeds in our group? The defeat to them has seen England drop JUST outside of the top 9, which sucks.

NobBe Nobbs
Which I don't think anybody here would be too against. Seriously, a pissed John Terry charging the field and headbutting the Croatia coach in their first group match would be worth the bans that would ensue
therockbox
So, Klinsmann anyone?
NobBe Nobbs
Wouldn't complain, honestly. He's certainly got the respect thing down, and it might act as a kick up the arse to the Spurs players.
The Kraig
Berti Voghts anyone?
Dan
Shearer. I could imagine him doing a Klinsmann/Bilic job.

Kwanzabot
DON'T YOU DARE STEAL WISE >_> I say Shearer has my vote. Or Mourinho, but that is nearly impossible.
therockbox
It's interesting to hear a lot of ex-players that are now doing their coaching badges talking, the main thing that seems to come across is that the long ball game is actively encouraged by the FA. Shows just how bad the situation is, and how much it's likely to get.
Crybaby Bunting
Funny how everyone in the media shot down Capello as soon as he started talking about the England managerial role, yet he looks to be the only one left in the running who's credible. Who seriously thought O'Neil or Jose would become England manager? O'Neil is doing more for England than any other Premier League manager yet his efforts are completely ignored, why would he bother with the England position? and Jose wont go anywhere for a year, i'm guessing he is going to use this time as a holiday. He's still relatively "young" for a manager and could easily take a few years out and still be as good when he comes back. and what was with Allerdyce saying he doesn't want the job? I'm sure if you asked an arrogent Blue Square manager he'd "reject" it too, if you stand no chance of being manager you'd probably stay out of the picture.
