I just hope that when House ends, we get a spinoff.

Oddly enough, there nearly was a spin-off already. It was going to focus on Lucas, with an updated "Rockford Files" feel. I forget why it didn't happen.

Cause there's no money in a show about a private investigator.

However, if there was a show about a banana stand...

I put my Shield comment in the wrong thread, but I must say this as well....

My newfound man love for Walton Goggins is closing in on the same levels of man love I have for John Barrowman. Whether it is Predators, Justified, or now The Shield he is awesome in whatever he does.

Haven't watched Predators, but I have recently rewatched The Shield, and I am a big Justified fan, and I gotta agree, the man is awesome. The Shield was such a awesome show, and everyone on that show deserves credit for it, but I honestly thought he was the best thing on it. And on Justified, as well.

The Shield - especially the last two/three seasons (which were the best) definitely would not have been the same if not for him.

The Shield's one of those shows that only gets better with every passing season, so you're in for some good TV.

This.

Though IIRC there is one random series that takes a little dip. I think it may be the penultimate one.

But yeah, Goggins is the real start of the show - especially in the final series.

I want to say season three or season four is the season nobody really seems to like, and I'm leaning towards the former (because the latter had Antwon Mitchell, probably the greatest villain the show ever produced). 5/6/7 is basically an awesome trilogy of seasons to close the show out.

Fuck, I just watched all of The Shield about a month ago, but I'm having a little trouble remembering Season 3. Gonna put it as spoilers so I don't ruin anything for anyone....

I know Season 3 is the one after the money train, and I know for sure how it ends. But I can't remember who's the main villains in that season. I know there's the Armenians towards the end of it, but don't remember too much before then, except for the stuff between Shane/Mara/TaVon. Season 3 is the one where the big incident happens with Acevada, right?

Edit- GoGo, as awesome as Antwon Mitchell was, I thought Armadillo in Season 2 was also one of the best villains they had.

Yeah, in terms of the two best pure villains it's Armadillo vs. Antwon.

But if you factor in anti-villains, then Lt. Kavanaugh and Shane both have to go into the running too.

I love how, in the end, it's all Vic's fault. :)

And I think it was series 6 that I wasn't so keen on.

Yeah, its Season Six that takes the dip; it seems to exist so there could be a Season Seven. It's by no means bad; but until then the serie HAD gotten better and better with every passing season until Seasons Four and Five were breathtakingly good in places. And, of course, Antwon > .

Season five might have been my favourite season. Kavanaugh slowly going crazy because of Vic was awesome.

Episode 7 of Boardwalk Empire bothers me. Every week the only complaint I've had is that they seem to be obsessed with showing tits on the level of a 13 year old boy who just discovered porn. Now all of a sudden in episode seven they insist on introducing a bunch of new or increasing the visibility of rarely used characters and I don't understand what the character's motivations are because they seem to have just been thrust into it.

Oh right, I remember now. Yeah, seasons six was basically just a really obvious way of bridging 5 and 7 together, which admittedly was weaksauce watching it "live" (compared to the rest of the series), but shouldn't be much of an issue if you're just going through the DVDs.

According to wiki:

Season 6 was originally intended to be aired as the second half of Season 5 (in the same way that HBO split up the last season of The Sopranos); FX decided to refer to these ten episodes as "Season 6" instead.

Which explains why season 6 didn't really feel as it's "own" season.

Remind me, what characters are these again?

A bit behind on this, but I'm getting Showtime this week, so I decided to catch up on Shameless. Really top notch stuff.

I know what you mean. I didn't even recognise some of the characters that returned in the episode. That said, it's still one of my favourite shows at the minute. I think it really is fantastically done.

That's part of the problem - I can't even identify them. The two that stuck out were...

... the lesbian girls (I wonder why

:shifty: ) and the guy who tried to cut out Nooky with Mr White. I feel like one of the former was Jimmy's ex, but I wasn't sure.
