DavidMarrio
What happens to his title then? Does it revert back to Khan? If the first fight gets changed to a no contest then Khan will get the title back, otherwise the title will become vacant and he'll more than likely he'll fight someone else for the title. Thrilla
Some big fights in England this weekend with the biggest being the headline bout of No Easy Way Out as IBF Super Middleweight Champion, Lucian Bute takes on number one contender and two-time former WBC Super Middleweight Champion, Carl Froch, in Froch's hometown of Nottingham. Despite holding the belt since 2007, Bute can be considered a weak champion, critics (most notably WBA and WBC Super Middleweight Champion Andre Ward) claim he doesn't have any victories over anyone worthwhile, so the Romanian-Canadian will be looking to prove his doubters wrong with a big performance against his most dangerous opponent to date. Froch is getting back in the ring for the first time since his loss in the Super Six final to Ward and his handlers have stated that they're looking to use this bout as a springboard for a unification match with Ward somewhere down the line. Froch has the more impressive victories on his CV and his only other loss on his record, a points decision against Michael Kessler, is considered controversial. With the hometown advantage, Froch will attack from the start and try to push the pace but that may only play into Bute's gameplan as Bute is a good counter-puncher, who has demonstrated he has heavy hands when delivering bodyblows and they could really come into play when the fight reaches the latter rounds. NBT Prediction: Lucian Bute by TKO, 11th round. Elsewhere on the No Easy Way Out card, the battle of the undefeated bantamweights for the IBF Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight Title should be very entertaining but I think Carl Frampton should have enough to squeak out a decision victory over the talented Raul Hirales, it will be a close match up though. In the other match that I imagine will be televised, Pier-Olivier Cote should prove to be far too good for Mark Lloyd. No Easy Way Out - Sky Sports 1 - 22:00 - Saturday 26th May The A-Force returns to action this weekend as well, as the man who said he'd never box again, Audley Harrison steps into the ring against Iraqi Ali Adams to headline a card in Broxbourne titled Retirement or Redemption. This should be a relatively straight forward return for Harrison, who has the height and reach advantage, as well as this only being Adams' second time in a ten round fight. Harrison is still angling for a fight with Irish heavyweight prospect, Tyson Fury, although Fury's management continue to rebuff the approaches, a few dominating victories could change people's perception of Harrison though and bring the fight to the table. Also on that show is the fight between Prizefighter winner Yassine El Maachi and Ryan Toms, El Maachi should be more than capable of seeing off Toms and capturing the vacant Southern Area Light-Middleweight in the process. Johnny Drama
A-Force if only he could box half as good as he thinks he can he might be alright! I am a huge Froch fan and will be backing him for the win, I don't know much about Bute and if it is anything like Froch's previous contests should be a entertaining match up
Thrilla
Theoretically, it should be a gimme fight for Audley. While his reputation has taken a severe blow due to the Haye fight, it should be remembered that he is a decent heavyweight at a national level and an Olympic gold medalist. He'll never contest for another major title but he talks fights up well and has a name people know so a couple of victories now could see him at least land a fight with Fury, Price, Banks or Mitchell. If none of those want him, he'll probably get Chisora as long as Haye beats him. Froch/Bute should be a cracker, if Froch wins, he wins early. The longer it goes the more it should favour the champion.
Johnny Drama
I like A-Force don't get me wrong I remember him nearly killing Sprott on Prizefighter. He can throw a punch but I just don't think he is good enough anymore I don't think getting in the ring with Tyson Fury windmilling is a good idea either which is his end goal
Liam
Bute vs Froch spoilers Froch just blasted through Bute. Just brutal. Not even a huge fan of Froch, but you had to admire the performance tonight.

caucasianheat
Pacquiao lost to Timothy Bradley by split decision in what's being regarded as one of the worst judging debacles you will ever see. I haven't found one pundit or boxing beat writer who has said that Bradley capably won that fight - a few gave him a handful of rounds but still had Pacquiao by a wide margin. Strong suggestion that the fix was in for Pacquiao's last contracted fight in the Arum stable. Tons of late money was being put on Bradley. gunnar hendershow
I read they're having a rematch in November.
Bobfoc
It certainly wasn't among the absolute worst decisions I've ever seen, but there's no way in my mind that Bradley could have been considered the victor. As has been mentioned, it looks as though they'll fight again on November 10th given that Pacquiao apparently has a rematch clause. Pacquiao detractors might say that this is some sort of sweet justice for the controversial decision last year that saw Pacquiao defeat Juan Manuel Marquez, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that this was definitely the wrong call. caucasianheat
The rematch is the other fishy bit, since it apparently was already agreed on for 11/10 before the opening bell rang. It's more offensive to me than other decisions like Pacquaio over Marquez the last time or Lara being robbed by Paul Williams because it's not a matter of close contested rounds that are ambiguous or even the champion getting preferential scoring and benefit of the doubt. I don't know who could look at Bradley getting effectively shut out, having nothing on his punches and declare him the winner of anything, and I've liked him in the past. xXEdgeXx
People wonder why boxing isn't as popular as it once was. Sure, things like UFC play a part in it, but it's crap like this that drives even more people away.
Bobfoc
Of course, this will be cited as yet another reason why Pacquiao vs Mayweather isn't likely to happen any time soon, if ever.
xXEdgeXx
The Pacquiao vs. Bradley 2 poster was reportedly already made 2 weeks before the fight. Definitely fixed.
thatshortguy
The Pacquiao vs. Bradley 2 poster was reportedly already made 2 weeks before the fight. Definitely fixed. Though to read the take from Bradley's camp, he suffered a broken foot, twisted ankle, ruptured kidney, and strained hymen during the fight
Liam
Kell Brock vs Carson Jones (iirc) was a brilliant fight last night. If anyone has Sky Sports and they show a replay, find some time to check it out.
Admin Lineker Posted July 8, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted July 8, 2012 Who won?
Liam
Kell did, two judges scoring him the winner, the other judge scoring the fight a draw. He won the first five-six rounds, yet he slowed down massively in the second half of the fight. Probably nicked one more round during that stretch, which was enough for the win. Broken nose by about round seven, fucked up his breathing. Just in case people haven't seen it, spoiler'd.
Admin Lineker Posted July 12, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 The WBA has reinstated Amir Khan as light-welterweight champion, meaning three belts will be on the line.
