It's a ridiculous situation. Rodgers could have at least stayed to the end of the season and completed the treble treble, won 8 in a row and went out with something of a legacy behind, regardless how you view Scottish football. Yeah its shit but is he really going to achieve more at Leicester? In all honesty, really?

It is a bit of a puzzler. If he stayed until the end of the season he still would be in with a shout of most PL clubs in need of a manager. Outside of the top 6, perhaps.

I can see the logic of getting his feet under the table at Leicester with a view on the summer.

I also can see him not giving an utter shit about Celtic, the Scottish League, or a triple treble or whathaveyou, because that job was never getting him what he wants: a Top 6 Prem job. Leicester gets him more money, more attention, more future opportunities. He's as loyal as just about any footballer, really.
