I know this isn't a request topic, but did anything Frightened Rabbit, Mumford And Sons, The Tallest Man On Earth, or Damien Rice-esque come out this year? I really dig slower rock/folk, and need more of it. Any suggestions?

"Good Old War" by Good Old War (although their debut "Only Way To Be Alone" is better again...very Mumford-y, but a bit more folksy)

"Boots Met My Face" by Admiral Fallow (another Scottish group of guys/gal, been touring with Frightened Rabbit, fucking awesome)

"Let This Be the Last Night We Care" by Alcoholic Faith Mission (love this band, get all their stuff)

I'm a bit late on this, but my top 10 albums of 2010 are... ten copies of Beer Bear's debut album "Honey".

Wacky Russian folk metal that is absolutely awesome. And this is from someone who doesn't even like folk metal in general.

I don't think I've bought any albums that are classed as a 2010 release. I've finally hit musical old age where I just delve backwards to fill in my collection.

IT'LL HAPPEN TO ALL OF YOU TOO ONE DAY! Mark my words you young whippersnappers.

Same here - though I think Brandon Flowers' "Flamingo" was a 2010 release, so I at least have one :shifty:

I had to put together a list for Chunklet, so I'll C&P it here. It's probably missing some really obvious ones.

The Vaselines - Sex With An X (Sub Pop)

Sage Francis - Li(f)e (Anti-)

Harvey Milk - A Small Turn Of Human Kindness (Hydra Head)

The Fall - Your Future, Our Clutter (Domino)

John Grant - Queen Of Denmark (Bella Union)

Neil Young - Le Noise (Reprise)

Grinderman - Grinderman 2 (Mute)

Scout Niblett - The Calcination Of Scout Niblett (Drag City)

Faust - Faust Is Last (Klangbad)

Timbre Timbre - Timbre Timbre (Full Time Hobby)

...in no particular order, really.

Best gigs of the year, also in no particular order;

Iggy & The Stooges

Chrome Hoof

Spiritualized

Boredoms

The Residents

Scout Niblett

Keiji Haino

You're right; it is an old people condition, because I did the same exact thing.

I'm going to give the title of the best of the new stuff I've bought this year to The Wild Hunt by The Tallest Man on Earth, though.
