My mate had Reese Witherspoon up top for the commercial appeal.

I could have the 'manager' of my team be Cheryl Cole...though that may not work as well.

Or just go with Alicia Fox for the lolz.

If I could have used famous people, Rylan Clark upfront so he can blind the keeper with his teeth.

Katy Perry bombing down the wing like a firework on the 4th July

Katy Perry is currently unavailable but should be fit for the start of the new season in September.

I could have Mick Fleetwood do the walkout music. Tom Lister Jr (AKA Zeus or Z-GANGSTA) could do the security maybe or he could be the target man up front, just try and stick it on his head all game.

Why not put together an all team of players from birth year instead!

Lopes

Meunier - Koulibaly - Van Dijk - Sandro

De Bruyne - Kante

Mahrez - Hazard - Griezmann

Firmino

That's a lot better!

Salah is 92 after double checking :(

Will have to swap him out for Mahrez!

Rooney being 9 months younger than Ronaldo is a living example of the importance of work ethic, professionalism and life choices long-term.

Difference between Derby County and Juventus evidently!

It's the difference between never having an 'off-season' and spending every June and July eating pie and chips every day.

Kepa

Cancelo - Marquinos - Laporte - Robertson

Saul - Tolisso

Bernardo Silva - Bruno Fernandes - Sterling

Memphis

Subs: Pickord, Mendy, Lindelof, Kovacic , Bernadeschi, Haller, Milik

Maybe something like that. City love players born in 1994 apparently.

I love squad number history, it's so fun to learn about! What I find interesting is that we adopted the standard European way of numbering 1-11 rather than the English one. Also sub keeper numbers usually have a fair bit of tradition behind it. Ours traditionally is16 because of the GAA, where the starters are always numbered 1-15 and the keeper is the first sub and #16.

In France GKs have to wear 1, 16 or 30 and Spain it's 1, 13 or 25. So that's why you'd see keepers arriving in the Premier League from abroad and wearing those numbers even though it's not a requirement in England. Barthez (#16), Mandana (#30), Reina (#25) and Courtois (#13).

Number are fun!
