It's probably similar to what happened to the Yugoslav and Serbia & Montenegrin teams when those countries dissolved - after this tournament they can choose which Sudan to represent (if they were born/are from in the South). Dual-citizenship on FM-deal.

Sudan aren't looking shabby at all here. They'll need a bit of luck to take anything from the game, but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that they could do so.

Drogba's header was enough for Ivory Coast, they have beaten Sudan 1-0. Burkina Faso vs. Angola is on in a little bit.

Would be all well and good but hasn't he been out injured for about a month before the tournament? Sort of devalues it a little bit.

Good win for Ivory Coast against a resilient Sudan team. Probably not as comfortable as they were hoping or expecting but there you have it, that's football for you. Ivory Coast will need to start performing better though if they are to win the trophy this time.
