While we wait for the final Central Bracket votes to roll in, here are the Eastern Bracket voting results!

In the battle of 1) Community vs. 16) One Tree Hill, the winner is

1) Community

One Tree Hill was crushed, 42-4.

In the battle of 8) Only Fools and Horses vs. 9) The West Wing, the winner is

9) The West Wing

Only Fools and Horses had a respectable showing, but went down 29-17.

In the battle of 5) How I Met Your Mother vs. 12) Peep Show, the winner is

5) How I Met Your Mother

Peep Show tried but just couldn't compete. Final score: 30-16.

In the battle of 4) The Office (U.S.) vs. 13) Columbo, the winner is

4) The Office (U.S.)

Columbo should be commended for even making a showing here. In the end, The Office won 35-11.

In the battle of 6) Blackadder vs. 11) Eastbound & Down, the winner is

6) Blackadder

Considering how the nominations and the other match-ups have gone, it's actually interesting to see an older, British show do so well against a current, American show. Final score: 30-16.

In the closest battle we've seen so far - 3) The Walking Dead vs. 14) The Tick - the winner is

3) The Walking Dead

The Tick nearly pulled off a narrow upset, but current and mainstream ultimately beat older and cult-audience. Final score: 24-22. Damn.

In the battle of 7) The Shield vs. 10) Frasier, the winner is

10) Frasier

I'd call this a minor upset. The Shield has its supporters, but not as many as I had predicted. In the end, Frasier asserted itself, 29-17.

Finally, in the battle of 2) Seinfeld vs. 15) Star Trek: The Next Generation, the winner is

2) Seinfeld

In the end, I think Seinfeld was just too comparatively ubiquitous here. ST:TNG tried, but lost 28-18.

You still have about 6 hours to vote on the Central Bracket.

Season 3 of LOST is fucking abysmal at points, but it also has some of the very best moments (particularly most of the stuff involved Charlie and Desmond). It's worth slogging through because when it's good, it's some of the best TV I've ever witnessed, and (MAJOR SEASON 3 FINALE SPOILER)...

513884589_5a79991326.jpg

... never fails to make me cry like a little baby.

Okay, I admit, that was a fucking awesome scene.

I admit every time I see that I get choked up. It is one of like three things in S3 that does not suck so very very bad.

Oh and sweet (sarcasm) the winners are all in spoiler tags. thumbsdown.gif

The spoiler tags were fine. The Tick nearly winning was impressive, and I'm not shocked that Frasier won. Like I said in my voting reasons, The Shield has actually become a really underrated show, and Frasier may have gotten less nomination votes but pretty much everyone's seen at least a couple episodes if not more.

Blackadder beating Eastbound was a very pleasant surprise.

I didnt like this bracket that much. Simpsons was easy choice. House I remember more so I guess that means its better. Hate Deadwood but hate Sunnt more. Never seen Father ted but Sopornaos was good, Firfly easy. Hate Dexter never seen Louie but he is funny. I love King of the Hill but I used to be obsessed with24 so that wins. And I HATE Scrubs so Roswell wins. I might have seen it once Im not sure.

1) The Simpsons vs. 16) Boston Legal - Easy

8) House vs. 9) Oz - I never really got into House, and Oz had a lot of great moments.

5) It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia vs. 12) Deadwood - Never got into Deadwood either.

4) The Sopranos vs. 13) Father Ted - Don't know what Father Ted is, but Sopranos is awesome. I don't think I'd vote it over Breaking Bad or the Wire, but it would beat any other drama.

6) Firefly vs. 11) Smallville - Didn't finish Firefly because TV club died, but I will soon. It was pretty cool.

3) Dexter vs. 14) Louie - Fuck. Louie's going to get slaughtered. Louie is awesome. You suck Josh.

7) 24 vs. 10) King of the Hill - Very tough. Might edit before voting closes. Sixth season of 24 being awful and also the last one I watched is my main reasoning here.

2) Scrubs vs. 15) Roswell - Never watched Roswell, have seen 2 or 3 episodes of Scrubs. They were decent.

The following win from default: Simpsons, House, Always Sunny, Sopranos, Firefly, King of the HIll, and Scrubs.

I picked Louie over Dexter because Louie is a nicer name.

MOUNTAIN BRACKET

<b><br style="background-color: rgb(250, 251, 252); color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; "></b>1) The Simpsons vs. 16) Boston Legal -Easy pick here. I like some of David Kelley's work (The Practice is probably my favorite legal drama of all time), but Boston Legal was too soap-boxy for me. Also, The Simpsons is awesome.

8) House vs. 9) Oz- Stopped following House around season 6, but I really enjoyed the earlier seasons, and even seasons 4 and 5 had their great moments. Oz is ok, only watched a few episodes, but House wins here.

5) It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia vs. 12) Deadwood- Deadwood is in the conversation for my favorite television show of all time. I really like Sunny, but there are few shows in this tourney that I would even consider voting for over Deadwood.

4) The Sopranos vs. 13) Father Ted - The Sopranos is my third favorite HBO series of all time, and I mean that in the best way possible, since the other two (The Wire and Deadwood) are two of my favorite shows ever. Never watched Father Ted, but I doubt it would beat Sopranos.

6) Firefly vs. 11) Smallville- Meh, didn't enjoy the bits I've seen of Smallville, and I will probably never get into it just because of how long it is. I'm a browncoat all the way though, so Firefly wins for me here.

3) Dexter vs. 14) Louie- I like Dexter, especially season 2, but I love Louie. One of the funniest and most interesting shows on TV right now.

7) 24 vs. 10) King of the Hill- Never really followed either of them, but I liked what I've seen of KOTH more than what i've seen of 24.

2) Scrubs vs. 15) Roswell- Remember how I said that Deadwood was in the conversation for my favorite TV show of all time? Well Scrubs is in there too. I concede that the show has its ups and downs, that the characters can get irritating from time to time, that some of the "lessons" learned at the end of the episodes were contrived, but no show has made me feel more joy than Scrubs. Plus, I never watched Roswell.
