Who would have guessed the Mets would be 2-0 and the Yankees would be 0-2? I'm down with the forfeiture of the rest of the season plan suggested earlier simply because the Yankees would miss the playoffs :shifty:

7-0 up now, we are off to the playoffs! :shifty: :shifty: :w00t:

Guest mr. potato head

In one of those quintessential baseball stats, Jays are somehow 2-1 despite only leading after two of the 37 innings they've played so far.

Apparently during the Rockies broadcast for Jamie Moyer's start on Saturday, it was revealed that Moyer has faced 8.9% of the batters in MLB history. That's absurd.

That is one of the coolest stats I've ever come across. I think a wrestling variation would be kinda neat; how many workers The Undertaker has faced in WWE history.

Atlanta drops another one, though we seem to be improving offensively (and improving how offensive we are). First three games: shutout, two runs, five runs. At this pace, we will be scoring approximatey 2.3 billion runs per game by year's end.

...and still getting beat by 2-3 runs. dry.gif

As a white person living in the Northeast, I'm not effected by it.

But he is the manager of a team in a city with a huge Cuban population. That's the demo they're trying to bring in to that big new ballpark of theirs. Five games seems excessive, but he really needs to stop and think before talking. It seems like a stretch for Ozzie, though.

Again, it's a case of nobody paying attention to what he actually said and instead getting riled at the Cliff's Notes.

What the people should have read:

"…I respect Fidel Castro. You know why? A lot of people have wanted to kill Fidel Castro for the last 60 years, but that [expletive] is still there."

What people apparently read:

"CASTROS, GOOD. CUBANS, LOL."

He respects Castro's tenacity and stubbornness, not his policy. He's separated the man from the politician, which is perfectly fine.
