I believe it is the Super Tax which taxes 75% on everything a person earns over a million euros. They're fighting the good fight.

While of course they get paid way too much anyway, I can't blame anybody for striking when someone wants to take 75% of your pay.

Why strike though, surely the correct approach is to stick a transfer request in and move to Newcastle.

It's not the players that are striking though, it's the clubs that are striking.

The players will be paid what their contract states, regardless of whether the club can actually pay it.

What I don't understand is how clubs themselves can strike without shaving off most of their income or getting themselves kicked out of competitions, the only thing I can think of is for the club shops to shut down and stadium tours to stop for the duration of the strike.
