AC Milan have sacked coach Massimiliano Allegri, a day after a 4-3 league defeat to minnows Sassuolo.

The 18-time Italian champions are 11th in Serie A, 30 points behind leaders Juventus.

Allegri's backroom staff have also been sacked and Mauro Tassotti has been put in temporary charge.

Tassotti will get it permanently unless he fucks up monumentally.

Highly doubtful. Till the end of the season at most I'd expect.

Allegri was just in full comedy mode by this stage really. It was only last weekend he was calling the game with Sampdoria a 'relegation dogfight', because saying shit like that is going to do you plenty of favors.

In Italy all the media are saying Seedorf as well, and he has a clause in his botafogo contract that means he can leave if a job like this becomes available.

The Dutch FA have allowed Seedorf to do the coaching badges via long distance, due to his incredible service to football, and he's set to finish his course in May, just in time for the new season then.
