Pretty awful performance from Stosur. Grass is by far her worst surface, but that wasn't the performance of a World No. 6.

Good to see Xavier Malisse back in some form, even though he did take Ferrero out who I like. Murray's run to the semis looks a lock now because there isn't anyone there but Querrey who can beat him on this surface IMO.

On a brighter note, the winner plays the winner of Giraldo-de Bakker tomorrow which is 14-14 in the fifth set.

I actually like having to play to two ahead in the fifth set, but can understand why people don't. On some occasion you'll get a match like this which isn't a great advertisement for it, but I've seen enough epics go to two ahead to make up for something like this.

It just doesn't make sense that you can play 4 tiebreak sets and then have to play upwards of 66 games in the 5th set. Either make every set an advantage set, or every set a tiebreak set.

EDIT: Federer just dropped a set to a qualifier. WTF?

Wasn't Federe's first round match against a qualifier too? If so he dropped two sets there.

I don't like 5th set tiebreakers. So I am all for this 39-38. Go out there and win the match.

Whoever wins this Isner/Mahut match may just withdraw from the tournament once they get to the locker room.

Opponent is de Bakker who is coming off a long five-setter himself, but yeah both running on fumes here.

I'm guessing Isner won't take the court in the doubles this arvo...?

I don't think Falla was a qualifier. I know Mahut and Taylor Dent got there through qualifying as both of those guys are playing today and they mentioned it on TV.

I'm going to be heart broken if Isner loses this, but the longer this goes on, the more I see Mahut taking the win. Isner is progressively doing worse and worse against Mahut's serving game, while Mahut is starting to improve.
