Man City have signed defender Pablo Mari from Gimnastic Tarragona, the Spanish club have announced. Mari is set to go straight out on loan to Gimnastic's fellow Spanish second-tier side Girona. The 22-year-old had been with Gimnastic since 2013, making 90 appearances.

Burnley midfielder David Jones is on the brink of joining Sheffield Wednesday, according to Sky sources. It is understood the Owls have offered the player, 31, a three-year deal to move to Hillsborough.

Sky Sauces are reporting Joe Hart is off in this window. No idea where he will go. Everton maybe?

Certainly would give more credence to the Claudio Bravo to City rumours.

Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez is on the verge of signing for Chelsea, according to reports in Italy. Lopez’s current club AC Milan are understood to have reached an agreement with the Blues for the 34-year-old Spaniard, who counts Real Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla among his former clubs. Gazzamercato.it report an official announcement on the transfer will not be made until Asmir Begovic has left the club.

We've allegedly been interested in Hart for months and we are apparently looking for a first choice keeper still, so there is a definite chance, plus with the Stones deal we could probably afford it without massively breaking the bank.

We'd have probably beaten you if Hart was in goal on Saturday. That's no insult to Hart, Stekelenburg was just insanely good.

You're Everton. That money won't be getting spent on anyone. :shifty:

No word of a lie, within an hour of Stones being sold, the top post of the Everton subreddit was "WHERE'S THE STONES MONEY, FARHAD?!".

For those not in the loop, when Mikel Arteta was sold to Arsenal, a large portion of the Everton fanbase went mental for a few transfer windows asking "WHERE'S THE ARTETA MONEY, BILL?!"

Joe Hart makes some phenomenal saves, but you sense always has a mistake in him. They happen regularly as well for club and country.

He's still be a good keeper for nearly all the PL teams. He's no Brad Guzan tho.

The poor boy has been sadly misled. If only he'd known the path to a Chelsea contract runs via a Spurs medical, not West Ham.

From BBC Sport's David Ornstein:

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is considering a loan move away from the club after being dropped for the first two games under new manager Pep Guardiola.

Everton and La Liga side Sevilla are interested in taking the England international.

Hart, 29, does not want to make a decision on a permanent move away from City with just two weeks left of the summer transfer window.
