Also, Battlebots has had Season 6 as a comeback and Season 7 is currently airing over in the USA.
They even have Kenny Florian as a commentator, and K-Flo is awesome.

I saw a clip of a robot getting absolutely torn apart by what I could gather as a cylindrical flywheel on a recent Battlebots.  Was brutal. I hope this is a sign of things to come. If the human race is good at anything it is finding increasingly fun ways to destroy thing.

I had forgotten about Robot Wars Extreme, a show in which the competitors cut wrestling-style promos and were told to be as brash and cocky as possible. They even had a championship belt that was defended on each show.

Razer was my favourite, especially early on, but they started fiddling with it too much (except the self-righting mechanism which was cool) and it lost its edge.

Razer being back is cool though. Just depends on which Razer shows up, the "awesome but breaks down all the time expect that one time we got stuck on the arena floor" one or the "DEATH TO ALL!!!! Except for anyone being a cheating bitch and adding a massive shell around their robot at the last second" one

Oh God yeah. It takes me completely out of watching the battle the second it switches away from the main camera. I don't want a slick, professional editing package for Robot Wars.

I like the round robin format for this round, more battles is more fun.

This arena feels like it's about half the size of the old one.

My only problem is that everything feels too clean, takes away some of the magic from the old series.
