IGN had two hours with the game and holy shit it sounds amazing! Like, it probably should come as no surprise that it sounds good, but damn. 

Won’t post deets for people wanting to go in with no knowledge, but check it out otherwise.

And the highest edition of the game you can buy basically exists only for multiplayer additions so.. GG.

Odd strategy but as someone who doesn't play online and feels that the growth of online gaming has just about ruined quality single player gaming (due to where all the effort goes now for a lot of developers) that news does hearten me that they might have put in the effort required to make this a great single player experience. GTA V was lacking in this regard and financially the neglect shown to single player was justified by the unreal cash cow that GTS Online became.

Doesn't bother me as I'll be playing single player first anyway. I think by calling it a Beta in November, they're basically accepting that there'll be issues.

GTA V didn't launch with GTA Online either. I think the delay helped keep the game in the news and ended up resulting in many sites giving separate reviews for the two modes. It's not as if Rockstar needs extra press to succeed, but it all helps.

I’m totally okay with this tbh. Gives me time to give some love to the single player before killing @9 to 5 and Eddie’s horses. 

Hopefully they’ve learned from the GTA V online launch though. That was rather broken at first.

I still haven't tried GTA Online. I don't have anyone to play it with, and I have no wish to jump in with strangers.

EDIT: Oh, RDR 2 has first-person mode. I was expecting them to hold that off for the inevitable next-gen re-release, so that's a pleasant surprise.

I was hoping they would go this route and release Online at a later date. I'd much rather playthrough the game as is without having to worry too much about another gamemode distracting me.

New footage of the various activities, including a look at first-person mode. It all looks nice, albeit not especially more so than its predecessor. I'm expecting a good game, but not one that changes my life.

Less than 20hrs for the first RDR story, closer to 30 for GTAV.

How Long To Beat has the original pegged at 18 hours, main + extras 28 hours and completionist at close to 50 hours.

In that case, awesome. GTA V's story didn't feel long enough compared to the usual output.
