I hope kids watching the W.B.C. can watch the way we play the game and appreciate the way we play the game as opposed to the way Puerto Rico plays or the Dominican plays. That’s not taking anything away from them. That just wasn’t the way we were raised. They were raised differently and to show emotion and passion when you play. We do show emotion; we do show passion. But we just do it in a different way.

Shut the fuck up, Ian Kinsler.

Red Sox sent Rusney Castillo and Allen Craig to the minors, so now the Pawtucket Red Sox have a higher payroll than the Padres.

@thatshortguy could the Braves new ballpark be less inspired and generic?

All the money for that park went to two things:  pockets and food amenities.  Nothing else.

Note that the farthest point on from plate to fence is 400 in center.  This is going to be a hitter's park, which makes me laugh even harder about how fixated the Braves are about acquiring pitchers.

At the risk of being a homer, fifth in the NL East?  We got a long way to go, but there's enough raw talent to get to .500.  I'd say if we can keep around .500 by the Break, we've got a puncher's chance.  Plus there is no guarantee the Mets glass cannons make it an entire season.

FIfth?  Bah.  I rescind my Adrian Peterson prediction and double down on the Braves not finishing in last.  I'll buy someone a copy of The Show or OotP if they finish last, daggone it.

NL East is surprisingly deep. I flipped between Braves and Phils a lot for the last place team in that division.
