Kiing Shooter died. He was a Queensbridge rapper who was on Nas' Street Dreams Records, and who was also affiliated with fellow NY rapper Dave East. He was in the hospital for liver problems, where it's thought he contracted covid-19. No official cause of death yet.

The founder of Uptown Records, Andre Harrell, died yesterday. He'd been suffering from heart problems. He also served as CEO of Motown Records in the 90s, but is probably most known for discovering P. Diddy, and for signing Mary J. Blige to Uptown in 1989 after hearing her 'demo'.

Yeah they absolutely crushed this one. I was a little worried when El-P said this was their most sample-heavy album but it might be their best production yet.
