That's the issue really - without the loans, we don't have a huge squad. There has been suggestions about trying to utilise more of our youth players.

I just saw that looking at the Wiki page for Fulham (who I forgot actually got promoted) and there's only 15 players.

That's, em, a concern.

Brighton have completed the signing of Iranian winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The 24-year old, who was the highest scorer in the Eredvisie last season with 21 goals for AZ Alkmaar, arrived last night from Paris and has completed a medical. He’ll be Brighton's most expensive signing, with the fee expected to be £17m.

Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic will spend next season on loan at Serie A side Atalanta.

Newcastle have agreed a fee with Mainz for Keiji Muto.

Fee is dependent on clauses and whether he transforms into Great MUTA.

Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev claims the club have beaten off competition from Chelsea to sign Aleksandr Golovin.

Leeds have agreed a fee with Wolves for full-back Barry Douglas, Sky Sports News understands. The deal could be worth as much as £3m, with add-ons, depending on appearances. Douglas has now been given permission to discuss personal terms with Leeds, and is expected to undergo a medical tomorrow.

Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign Alphonso Davies for an MLS-record fee from Vancouver Whitecaps. The 17-year-old has signed a six-year deal and will be eligible to play for Bayern from January 1 after finishing the MLS season with Vancouver. Vancouver say the fee could rise to more than $22m, making it a record for a player from MLS.

Manchester City have announced the signing of Claudio Gomes. The defensive midfielder, who turned 18 two days ago, has joined from Paris Saint-Germain and is captain of France Under-18s side. He is with City on their pre-season tour of the USA.

In addition to Golovin, looks like the Rugani-to-Chelsea deal might be off.

Seems somewhat odd that, with the exception of Jorginho (whose transfer from Napoli seems to have been negotiated in combination with getting Sarri), absolutely none of the rumoured ins/outs have happened with Chelsea. Barca seem to have given up on Willian. Courtois is still sitting there in limbo waiting for Chelsea to find a replacement GK (if they ever do). Hazard seems increasingly unlikely to move this window. Even Morata seems to be going nowhere in particular in his attempts to get an Italian club to buy him. Obviously there are few if any decent rumours about other incoming players either (and no, I'm not counting Rob Green).

But then, if we do end the transfer window basically with this same squad (GKs aside), that will just serve to play into the narrative of the Chelsea board not knowing what the fuck they've been doing all summer.

At least we'll have Ross 'JUST LIKE A NEW SIGNING' Barkley to look forward to. :shifty:

Imagine living your life knowing your job title is 'Backup to Willy Caballero'.

Man Utd have made an approach for Leicester centre-back Harry Maguire, according to Sky sources.

Harry Maguire underestimated the danger and allowed a free shot, now the Premier League is no longer coming home :(

EDIT: I'd remove my memory of the goal too, Gazz :P
