Nick - Glad he's not in character. Seems nice.
Joanne - Too loud, not funny.
Sophie - Potential to be a great contestant. I hope Greg continues to do his impressions of her.
Steve - Will win every prize task
John - Very subdued. Hopefully doesn't turn out to be a bit boring like Richard Herring.

I really like Nick, he seems genuinely happy to be there and I'm glad he's not doing an act other than the costume.

It's also been pointed out that the Taskmaster editors are all-in on Nick's outfit too - during the river task they edited out his reflection.

oh thats fun, during the task reading shots his reflection is definitely gone. it comes back for when he's actually in the water, but that was a nice little joke that I didn't catch first time.

Yeah this series has been completely fine viewing without being stand out hilarious. Probably the most mid since the one with Johnny Vegas and Daisy May Cooper, and that one suffered cos of Covid. Perfectly watchable and a decent laugh, but not a patch on recent series.

I tend to think Sophie and Joanne are really funny, John is good but not often laugh out loud funny, Nick is adorable and Steve is clever. All of that makes for good viewing but I would agree that it's maybe been a step down from top tier.

I've been enjoying it, perhaps in different ways to other series. They've all been great in their own ways, I'm in awe at Steve's imagination, Nick is such a sweetheart, one with monstrous thighs apparently, Sophie is chaotic good, Joanne is chaotic evil, and John wants to win so much it's quite endearing.

Seems like it's a bit like the podcast, but on TV and with more Greg and Alex. Also, it starts the week after Series 17 ends, 9pm on C4.

I absolutely love Zaltz, he should be incredible.

Jack Dee was the last stand-up I saw live before I became mentally paralysed at the thought of being in a room full of people, it's a shame he has made some of his less palatable view public.

With respect to Babatunde, looking at his credits I'm thinking he may be the least notable name we've had in the whole series. That, of course, doesn't mean they won't be great.

I don't even think he's the least notable name in this or the last series. He's all over the place and the very fact he's done I'm a Celeb surely carries some weight? I know that's a low bar but as a stand up who's done shitloads of tv work he's well ahead of Joanne McNally who I'd never seen previously.
