This is a good year for hip hop it seems. Between Ye, Kids See Ghosts, Book of Ryan, Kamikaze and Queen I'm all set. Now we're getting another new Kanye album?

Yeah, supposedly. He posted some images on Twitter with “YAHNDI 9.28.18”. I heard it’s supposed to be a sequel to Yeezus. There was a snippet on Instagram of a song that might be on the album - maybe - and it’s pretty trap/R&B influenced.

Lil’ Wayne’s new album is supposed to be out this Friday too. After having it delayed for years, and then it not coming out last Friday like he said it would.

I thought Yeezus was great, so if it's a sequel to that I'll be happy. Not sure how I feel about Carter V. I didn't really like IV, but I know I'll check it out anyway.

I've enjoyed most of what I've heard on Carter 5. It's too damn long, though.

About to spin Logic's new record after specifically listening to the Wu-Tang Forever track. He's not exactly the guy I'd have pegged to arrange a Wu-Tang reunion track.

Cautiously optimistic about Kanye's new album. We will see though.

It has features from 6ix9ine and XXXTentacion, so... your mileage may vary.

He’s now going by the nickname that most of his fans have been calling him for years...

Suge Knight has been sentenced to 28 years in prison.

By all accounts, he went through 16 attorneys in a desperate attempt to get off lightly.

His son is claiming 2Pac is alive and living in Malaysia, too.

New Brockhampton was pretty good.  Liked the new Bun B too.

I could care less about Kanye or new Eminem.

Carter V was long and meh.

Ehh, there's only a couple songs I find myself skipping when I put the whole album on (the XXX and Minaj features are the two that come to mind), but it is definitely way too long, I tend to start from Mona Lisa and then skip towards the end of the album when I don't have the time for the whole album.

Ooooooh new Bun B has a song with RTJ on it. Three of my favorite MCs on one track? Yes, please.

Did you guys see that song that Channel 4 commissioned? It's dope.

In response to MPs getting a stick up their ass about violent lyrics in rap music, Channel 4 commissioned a song based on actual things that MPs have said. It's a really clever comeback and makes a brilliant point:

Earlier this year, YouTube deleted over 30 videos deemed to glamourise violence on the recommendation of Metropolitan Police commissioner Cressida Dick. In June, west London group 1011 were issued with a court order banning them from making music without permission from the police.
