  1. Yeah I think that’s okay. I only thought it was silly when Gareth Bale won it when he was 31 or whatever.
  2. Great showing from the King of the Streets TM
  3. I’m not the biggest Bruce Springsteen fan but I’ve always thought he’s someone that is worth seeing before he jacks it all in/dies so I bought a ticket to see him in Edinburgh on Tuesday. Should be fun.
  4. It’s a sad day for Rangers fans. I think I liked Missing You best. TT is obvs a great singer and that song has some classic Trevor Horn producton. Pretty unusual for being a 60s star who became even bigger in the 80s. Who else did that? I guess there’s Steve Winwood, Diana Ross, Paul Simon. But so many others tried to fit in and failed. I think I liked the cover of Honky Tonk Women best out of the early ones. I guess Proud Mary is the most famous of that period but it makes me think of drunk grannies at community centre discos. Although I guess that isn’t Tina Turner’s fault. Just like having her biggest bit of all co-opted by Rangers fans isn’t her fault either.
  5. I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but there has not been a good wrestling game released this century that doesn’t feature Triple H. The statistics don’t lie.
  6. I think the phrase litmus test should be banned unless you are genuinely trying to find out how acidic something is
  7. Yeah I’m quite surprised that’s all they’ve come out with. There’s far more that needs to be done and I imagine I’d just leave pit crew training untouched like I leave training on Football Manager untouched.
  8. I prefer the alternate universe where Poch goes to Tottenham and is inevitably shit and the the Spurs fans cry even more.
  9. Yeah, I think the state ownership certainly has helped Man City and it gives them a big unfair advantage. But clubs like Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool haven’t exactly been shy with the cash either. Main difference is that Man City have mostly spent their money well and the others haven’t. Maybe that won’t last forever.
  10. See if you want to have a big massive night out but the bars and clubs are too expensive? You buy some cheap beers at the supermarket and drink them at home while playing some shit games and then go out. That’s preloading.
  11. Imagine if Man City win the cup, league and and Europe in one season. That would be such an incredible and unique achievement.
  12. In 1984 Rod Stewart released a cover of 70s dad rock classic (and actual pretty good song) All Right Now and I think it might be the worst cover of a song I’ve ever heard. It is so bad I have a compulsive need to listen to it and have added it to my library. Go and listen to it now.
  13. I heard a couple of songs from this - surprisingly good!
  14. It’s because the roses are white. It looks like an old lady’s dressing gown.
  15. Having a catchphrase when you are not a game show presenter is naff full stop.
  16. He should own property and vacation somewhere better
  17. I always assumed one of the advantages of being a multi-millionaire is the ability to avoid nonsense like Miami and Saudi Arabia and just spend the end of your career doing something nice rather than chasing the money. But I guess some people r just v greedy.
  18. If Tottenham sold Kane to Man City back when he wanted to leave a couple of seasons ago maybe City would never have ended up buying Haaland and Arsenal would have won the league by now.
  19. I just want whoever is most likely to lose to Kilmarnock. …. or do I???? I quite liked our season in the league below. Wouldn’t mind abother. More fun.
  20. Yeah I find a lot of the animosity quite silly when it boils over. The fans of my team - Kilmarnock - will sing songs about how much they hate Ayr (closest team to us) even though they’ve been in the same division for about one season in the last 30 or so. I find it quite silly and I generally hope for Ayr to do well - it would be nice to have two Ayrshire teams in the premier league (assuming Kilmarnock don’t get relegated anytime soon which is highly possible).
  21. I’m sure I read somewhere that Nottingham Forest and Notts County have a nice relationship, but they’re not exactly operating at the same level so not sure if you could count it anyway.
  22. Hopefully it makes the organisers think the commercial potential of USA isn’t all it’s made out to be and they don’t need to have three races there every year.
  23. I can’t believe Gael Kakuta has been on Chelsea’s books since 2009. Bizarre.
