  1. You're probably right. And yeah, it's a little different animal fighting Anderson Silva, so he probably WOULD try to take it to the ground. Not sure he would have the same success Chael did, but it would be his best chance by far.
  2. See, I'd disagree, cause Koscheck, at least for the last few fights, hasn't really USED his wrestling (except for this last fight which I didnt' see, so I don't actually know how that went). He's seemed more like he wants to go out there and rely on getting a big knockout shot rather than take things to the ground. Of course, if he were to fight Silva, you'd think he would know he HAS to take things to the ground. And yeah, Chael would make him look silly at the press conferences, which would be amusing.
  3. Yeah, I agree that he's marketable (though a lot of that comes from his image as the biggest douchebag in the UFC), and that he would have a chance to earn a title shot more easily than at WW. But, like we both said, I don't see him beating either Silva or Sonnen (or whoever else may be champ at that time).
  4. Could be interesting. Though I don't really think he'll get any farther there than he did at welterweight. I think Koscheck has hit the limits of his ability, and it's not quite enough to carry him to a title. Could be wrong though. I guess we'll see.
  5. Had a feeling that might be the case. Wonder who they're gonna match Koscheck up with now?
  6. Wow, 146 is kinda snake bit, isn't it? Lots of re-shuffling there. Still should hopefully be a good fight though. and for the record, I would LOVE to see Cerrone and Pettis mix it up. I think that would be an awesome fight.
  7. That really was a great main event. Lots of action both on the feet and on the ground, and a nice submission by the Zombie to finish things off. Don't know if he can take out Aldo or not, but it certainly would be entertaining to watch him try.
  8. Amen to that. And I'm also really tired of hearing the "Romo is going to become a real leader this year" crap. They've been saying that for the past several years, and honestly, it's NOT going to happen. Romo is always going to be Romo, and the Cowboys needs to stop pretending otherwise. They have a shot at doing really well this year thanks to (imo) some good off-season moves and the draft. I just hope that they can get things together enough to make a real push soon.
  9. We got a new kitty today. He's probably the cutest thing in the history of ever.

Really? I couldn't tell from your mafia game. :-P Next time you need a picture of one, I have several cute ones.

  10. Watched Murder by Death today. An old favorite murder mystery/parody with some great comedy and some of the worlds best actors and actresses chewing the scenery in delightful fashion.
  11. Didn't like Ultimate Alliance 2 as much as 1. Still was fun to play with a group of friends.
  12. Damn LSU players and their stupid stupid bar fighting. >_<
  13. UFC Undisputed 11, the MLB The Show '11, and recently started back on some Mass Effect (my renegade run). Good stuff all around. Still have a TON of games on the WII and PS3 I need to finish though.
  14. That was a really good main card at least. I missed all of the Facebook fights, but I heard those were pretty good as well. Henderson was totally dominate, Lytle/Hardy was a good slugfest and had a great ending, and Cerrone won big, which made my wife very happy. Overall it was one of those free cards that I wouldn't have felt ripped off if I had paid money.
  15. I'm kind of thinking that the SEC wants to wait until A&M regents meet and decide for sure what they want to do. I mean, yea, it's pretty evident, but the SEC doesn't want to look bad by talking about adding A&M and then getting turned down. Also, as someone pointed out, they don't want to just take ANYBODY as the 14th team, so waiting until they have a really good program lined up there makes sense.
  16. Been watching King of the Hill on Netflix all day. Probably gonna watch either Defiance or the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert on BR again tonight.
  17. Matt Hamill has announced on his website that he's retiring. Goes on to say that he'll still be coaching, and thanks a bunch of people. Interesting, but I guess if his heart isn't in it anymore, it's the best thing to do.
  18. I was upset...that I missed the PPV and didn't get to see it live.
  19. Apparently Dana White has now banned that type of attire in the Octagon. You have to admit though, it made him stand out.
  20. I love 11 day vacations.

I find it tough to go back to work after long vacations like that

Oh no doubt. But it's still worth it.

  21. I started a new game of Fallout 3 the other day (never have finished one myself, but I've seen it finished several times), and MAN I forgot just how immersive and well done the whole atmosphere of this game is. Truly gives you that "there's nothing left" feeling like few games have ever managed to do for me.
  22. Sorry, but that's a fairly ridiculous argument, especially when you're talking about a wide receiver.
  23. He didn't and isn't leaving Strikeforce under less than pleasant circumstances, though. He's too hurt to make the date which Showtime is apparently unwilling to budge from, so the winner of the reserves bout is taking his place. Given how surprisingly civil Dana's quotes were about the situation, I'm assuming this was ultimately a Showtime decision and not a ZUFFA one. But then, that doesn't make sense since Overeem is one of Strikeforce's top 3/4 draws, so who the fuck knows? Yeah, that's why I was saying it's a moot point anyway, since now everyone is saying that it's not the case that he was ever looking at just leaving.
