  1. I like this. I like this a lot. At least the main events being 5 rounds thing. Couldn't really care less about what Nick Diaz does until his fight with GSP.
  2. See, the number of posts I see per page means that this isn't even ON page 25 yet, and I didn't see it discussed in the last few pages I'm on. But thanks for the recommendations. I'll give those a try. Start with Season One, from 2005, starring Eccleston. He did a bang up awesome job as The Doctor, and it will help make more sense of other characters in future seasons such as Rose and Captain Jack. Then go backwards if you really like the show and are all caught up to date and see the other 8 Doctors. And have a blast watching Who for the first time, it's a fucking fun show. Thanks. (Y) Seems like it'll be right up my alley.

  4. So this may have been asked somewhere in this thread before, and if it has, I apologize in advance: If someone was interested in getting into doctor Who, what's the best place to start? I sort of know the basic premise behind the series, which means I know enough to know that there's a TON of episodes out there with various people in them. It's more than a little intimidating. So what would everyone here suggest as far as a good starting place?
  5. Most recent was Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. I was in one of the nightmare sequences, and hid underneath a bed to get away from the creatures chasing me. They all ran past me, and I thought I was safe, but decided to wait just a second to make sure there weren't any others around. Right when I was all set to crawl out from under the bed, one(that I didn't realize was in the room still) stuck its head under there and dragged me out. Had to stop playing for a while after that. Also, the first time I watched someone play Bioshock, just the whole atmosphere in general was pretty tense and uneasy.
  6. Also, the way my wife and I got more familiar with a lot of the fighters was by watching those UFC Unleashed shows on Spike.
  7. When my wife and I were talking about this, she made the comment that the main event was now going to be "Matt Hamill getting his ass kicked by Rampage for about 3 minutes before he finishes him". I had to laugh at how vehement she sounded about the whole thing. And note, she's a big Hamill fan, so it's nothing against him.
  8. Does anybody REALLY want to see Royce Gracie fight ANYONE at this point? Honestly? And I have to say I'm looking forward to Griffin/Shogun 2.
  9. This is crazy. Sitting here watching this with a couple of my friends, and we've changed our picks to win about 7 times each in the past hour and a half.
  10. I was already moderately excited about this movie, but this four minute trailer really sealed the deal for me. And lucky for me, it's on mine and my wifes 11th anniversary. I'll go to enjoy the movie for itself, she'll go because she likes Ryan Reynolds, as well as because she said the movie looks interesting. So score, all the way around.
  11. HTTK asked me to post this in this thread for him: "it isn't the same coaching staff at USC anymore ...." So there you go
  12. We're through the looking glass here people...
  13. I just have to wonder what the fallout for the other conferences is going to be if all of this goes down. Specifically, you know the SEC isn't ABOUT to just take this all in stride. Rumors have already started about them moving to get Florida State and Miami, with possibly Clemson and Virginia Tech also in the works if the "Pac-16" becomes a reality.
  14. It truly makes me sad. All 4 of the ladies on that show were (or are in the case of Betty White) so unique in their comedic and dramatic gifts. It may not be "manly" to admit it, but I'll always stop and watch Golden Girls if I'm home when it's on. RIP.
  15. Picked the game up yesterday. Not far into the story, but really good stuff. Just got done with some online play with a couple of my friends where we went grizzly hunting, andd then took out 4 or 5 hideouts. Great stuff, even if I kept getting lost on the way.
  16. So even though I hate Glee (don't ask why, reasons too numerous to mention), I think I may have to watch this week just to see and hear Neil Patrick Harris sing Dream On. The little clip they played during The Simpsons just now was the first I've seen of him in it, and it looked AWESOME.
  17. I'm going Magic in 5, and Suns in 7, with the Magic then winning the Title in 6. I just have a feeling that this is the Magic's year, and that nothing is gonna stop them.
  18. Just finished The Saboteur. Well actually, roommate finished it, with me trading in and out a few times. I liked it, but I wouldn't call it GOTY or anything. Was a nice setting and had some interesting characters, but a few too many little things keep it from the upper echelon.
  19. Yeah I think I'm gonna have to try this one out, both single AND multiplayer. The more I see of it, the mor eI'm getting excited about it.
  20. Well, I KINDA responded that way. Kinda. Sorta. A little bit?
  21. I own a Wii and PS3. Kinda split my time between both as far as overall gameplay. Have access to a 360 thanks to mine and wife's roomie, so I have options.
