  1. Firewind and Europe make this announcement for me! Me too. I've also heard almost universally bad things about Theory of a Deadman's performances on the recent Alter Bridge/Black Stone Cherry tour, so it might be wise to avoid them.
  2. 12 more bands are set to be announced on Wednesday.

    South Park

I quite liked this episode. As everyone else has said, it wasn't an absolute classic, but it certainly had a touch of the characteristic South Park silliness that I love so much. As a season premiere, it might not have been outstanding, but I'd say that the first episodes of the last few series haven't exactly been brilliant either. I think the last premiere I really, really liked was back in Season 11, and I've found the ones that have followed to be some of the weakest episodes of their respective runs.
  4. I don't think SI ever implements injury updates into the patches, although I'm not sure where I first read that.
  5. Red Dead Redemption is more or less a spiritual sequel to Red Dead Revolver. They share a similar setting, but I'm almost certain the stories aren't linked, except maybe for an Easter egg here and there that I'm unaware of. As for the zombies, that would be the add-on pack, Undead Nightmare, for Red Dead Redemption. That's a separate adventure with the same characters as Red Dead Redemption, but with a slightly different style of play.
  6. In the past few months, I've had customers ranting on about consumer rights over such matters as being unable to purchase Mario Kart 7 on the Xbox 360, being refused a full refund for a used, fully working game they bought two months ago on the grounds that they "thought it was crap", or because their attempts to convince me to sell them a new Xbox 360 bundle for £100 were unsuccessful. The public truly is wonderful.
  7. This seems to be a decent price for a 320GB model with Batman: Arkham City. You can also get the same deal with Final Fantasy XIII-2. I know it's normal to raise an eyebrow or two over an eBay deal, but it's the official outlet of Shopto, a well-respected online games retailer. This is actually the second time I've pimped Shopto today. Just to clarify, I don't work for them (yet).
  8. Chances are it'll be almost impossible to get into the tent for Corey Taylor's set anyway unless you miss half the rest of the day's bands on the other stages to queue up.
  9. It's been revealed that Corey Taylor won't be clashing with Metallica as the third stage closes before Metallica begin their set. That means that Corey will be clashing with Biffy Clyro instead.
  10. I'll have you know that having your knees bitten smarts like a bitch.
  11. Aaaand ordered. I am personally holding you responsible if it doesn't turn up a day early, Bobfoc. I suggest you make your peace with god and your family on the 8th, just in case. Looks promising though, they even have a thing on the website saying they'll try their best to get the game to you on release day. I hope it works out for you, not only because I value my safety, but also because I've pre-ordered from Shopto as well. It would be just my luck that the one time my faith is misplaced happens to be the time I'm being held personally responsible.
  12. All my pre-orders from Shopto have arrived a day early, so I'll vouch for them right now.
  13. If we're talking about the Blu-Ray versions, Vader's infamous cry of "Noooooooooooo!" from the end of Revenge of the Sith has been haphazardly tacked on to the redemption scene in Return of the Jedi.
  14. Actually, Download is now set to be the only Black Sabbath show of the 2012 tour, with every other set having been downgraded to "Ozzy and Friends". That's not to say that the same fate won't meet Sabbath's Download set if Tony Iommi can't make it, but that's how it stands right now.
  15. That's good news. Shinedown really impressed me when I saw them in 2009.
  16. I know that the whole "must be an English manager" doctrine is the in-thing right now, but what about Guus Hiddink? He seems to be the international go-to guy and is currently out of a job.
  17. Sad news about Kilby, capping off a horrible week after Nigel Doughty's death.
  18. Have they announced when each band will play?
  19. This season has been getting worse by the day for Forest. Even though I'm a Notts County supporter, I'm very fond of Forest and find this news absolutely sickening. The club hasn't been doing well financially during the last few years, but Nigel Doughty's financial input has kept them afloat. Unless something dramatic happens now, the club's future is looking very, very bleak.
  20. I don't think it will have too much of an effect. While LA Noire's motion capture technology is impressive, the non-verbal "cues" that push you in the right direction during cases are far from subtle. Because the motion capture animations were pulled off by using real actors, their expressions e.g. shifty eyes, not making eye contact are exaggerated to the extent that they would be easy to pick up on without the benefit of the best possible graphical settings.
  21. I might end up going for a day (probably Sunday by the looks of things at the moment), but I doubt I'll be able to do the whole weekend. The whole lineup looks very promising at the moment, though, so I can only hope that it continues in this vein.
  22. That lineup will be hard for any other UK festival to beat this year as far as I'm concerned. They'd better make sure that Metallica and Tenacious D's sets don't overlap too much, though, or there will be a lot of unhappy campers.
  23. I was really taken aback when I saw the headline on the BBC website. I'm not Welsh and have never been a Newcastle supporter, but I always enjoyed watching him play. The Welsh national side has come on leaps and bounds over the last few months under his management and, as someone already mentioned in this thread, he seemed to be in reasonably good spirits on Football Focus recently, so this news is all the more painful to hear. Terrible, terrible news, not only for his friends and family, but for football in general.

    WWE '12

Funnily enough, I was just thinking earlier today about how I'd like to see that exact scenario unfold in real life.
