    Protest the Hero

They were on tour in England, in like November (or were in Yeovil). They were really low down the bill though.
  2. I've spoken to Ellen Page's best friend (well allegedly). She stood on the door step, while I told her my housemate wasn't in. My friend has fucked her too. Her best friend, not Ellen Page. A little insight into my life, for ya.
  3. I dont care who wins. But it is safe to say that whoever it will be is better than Britney Spears.
  4. Dillinger Escape Plan stopped midway through a song to eat pizza, then continue again from where they left off. I imagine they planned to do that.

    Folie à Deux

Pete Wentz isn't an asshole in a Billy Corgan or Mike Patton way. I wouldn't consider him an asshole, more of a... um, er... retard.

    Album of the year

Picking roughly one album from rough outlines of genre, the best albums of the year are: Byzantine- Oblivion Beckons Easily the best metal album released this year. Pop magic in some places, harsh and extreme in others. Band split up a few days after its release. Earth- The Bees Made Honey In The Lion’s Skull I heard a story about someone going to see Earth live. As they walked onstage, with the silence before they began, someone shouted 'You killed Kurt'. That was mean. This is awesome. Genghis Tron- Board Up The House Hardcore with electronic bits thrown in. Certainly shits all over Torche. Patti Smith/Kevin Shields- The Coral Sea A long poem with Kevin Shields playing guitar along to it. Kevin Shields is awesome. Patti Smith not so much, but she doesn't ruin it. Portishead- Third Wikipedia said they've moved away from Trip-Hop into a more industrial area. Whatever Q-Tip- The Renaissance The only good Hip-Hop album released this year? Yup, but still awesome nonetheless. Weezer- S/T (Red Album) Weezer are my favourite band ever. This isn't great, but it has enough quality to make it the best straight-up rock album I've heard all year.
  7. [spunge] It was rubbish. Spent most of the time battling off advances from even littler kids and sitting down on the balcony by the fire exit so I could keep cool.
  8. Beth Orton the soloist, or Beth Gibbons the singer from Portishead? Fuck. Last time I don't check my dubious knowledge before I type. Gonna edit in Gibbons.
  9. 1. Otis Redding 2. Mike Patton (Faith No More etc.) 3. Jeff Buckley 4. David Bowie 5. Bruce Springsteen 6. Thom Yorke (Radiohead) 7. Chris Cornell (Soundgarden etc.) 8. Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses) 9. Beth Gibbons (Portishead) 10. Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe)
  10. Guttermouth are touring Europe this December. Conveniately playing Plymouth the night before I fuck off for Christmas.
  11. Vote Lamarr. They need to put Buzcocks out of its misery before they totally ruin its reputation.
  12. I have a gamerscore of 520 on my housemate's 360. I better watch out until I complete another quest on Fallout 3.
  13. Not too sure. I don't really go to many big gigs but Rage Against The Machine and Metallica at this years Reading were pretty awesome. I wasn't that big a fan of their's before seeing them, but they definetely turned me into a fan. I should say Dillinger Escape Plan, 'cos everyone thinks they're one of the best live bands around, but I saw them in an extremely small venue that mean they had to reign their show in a bit. Still fucking awesome. It's probably Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster on their last tour (with Scars On Broadway, but they played a show in Yeovil (which I went to) before the tour and somewhere else (Brighton?) afterwards). There was only like 30 or so people there and it was absolutely brilliant being so intimate with the first band I ever loved ('cept maybe Blink-182).
  14. But you know who the bad characters are. They're the ones with the red markers on them. So pull out a gun while approaching these things, put it away when approaching the 'good' people.
  15. Probably thinks tarnishing his reputation for a bunch of money when he's already super rich isn't worth it.
  16. Quest? Spoiler: Click here to view There is a quest involved? I stumbled across the place, and man, it was a bitch. A lot of creeping about, picking off person by person. Also, if you go in the right door to enter, there is a decent gun on the side, which was better than what I had at the time, IIRC. Spoiler: Click here to viewIt's a quest yeah. When you're in Megaton if you go to one of th stores (can't remember which one, up the stairs on the right I think) and speak to Moira(?) and she'll ask you to check it out and find some medicine and/or food and bring it back to her because she's putting together some book. I said yes because I'm such a nice guy but I keep getting raped in there. Spoiler: Click here to viewI didn't find it that hard. Admittedly they're were a few hunters around fighting the raiders for me. That helped a lot. That and my insistence in not bothering to find the medicine and stumbling across a fridge totally by accident. Did a little boy ask you to find his family there? I said yes and then fucked off back to Moira and the safety of Megaton. Poor kid.
  17. From the NME Rubbish. Even more so because they aren't coming to the South-West for their farewell tour.
  18. I'm more hoping for George Lamb. Then he can fuck off 6music, and Adam & Joe can have his slot. The Huey Show > George Lamb Anyone > George Lamb. Glad Lesley Douglas has fucked off. Hopefully someone decent who actually knows what to do becomes controller of 6music.
  19. Hey guys!!! Have you heard of a band called Evanescence they are soooo cooool & hotttttt!!!!! This 'song' is my favourite!!!!!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
  20. I'm more hoping for George Lamb. Then he can fuck off 6music, and Adam & Joe can have his slot.
  21. Of course not. Most of the outrage comes from people who just don't like Brand and Ross, and are hoping this might get rid of them. 1 down, 1 to go.
  22. You can hear one of my friends shout "James" during one of Metallica's official bootleg thing they do.
