  1. I wasn't so pumped at first and I was more along the lines of "Please, dear lord, don't let this suck.". I still carry that sentiment, but now that the day has finally arrived, I am so incredibly excited to finally watch it. I've heard that it's pretty good from everything I've read as well so I'm looking forward to it. Plus, the black guy in the hoodie they keep showing the in all the trailers jumping out the window with somebody in his arms better be Luke Cage. This TV show is a great way to get some of Marvel's great lower level heroes some love.
  2. 1: "Gaston" - Beauty and the Beast 2: "I Can Go The Distance" - Hercules 3: "Poor Unfortunate Souls" - The Little Mermaid 4: "I've Got A Dream" - Tangled 5: "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" - The Great Mouse Detective 6: "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" - The Aristocats 7: "Cruella De Vil" - 101 Dalmatians 8: "One Jump Ahead" - Aladdin 9: "Under The Sea" - The Little Mermaid 10: "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" - The Lion King
  3. Some quick research confirmed this. They did do Champloo though, and also do The World God Only Knows, Deadman Wonderland (which I thought was pretty good, despite how fucked up it can get), and they'll be doing a show I'll be watching this fall, Samurai Flamenco.
  4. I bought the game before it came to Steam and they should have e-mailed you a key to redeem on Steam so you can play the Steam version. Also, GDT is buckets of fun IMO. Totally worth the money.
  5. I've been a tear of re-watching old Disney movies that I loved as kid. Fortunately for me, most of them still stand up. The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under are still very good. Bob Newhart is amazing as George. The Great Mouse Detective? It's got Vincent Price as Ratigan, who might be one of the greatest bad guys in all of the Disney movies that were listed. Not to mention, it is a terrific film overall. The gear scene inside of Big Ben is still mind blowing to me, especially when you remember that the movie was made in 1986! I've also re-watched Beauty and the Beast (mostly just to hear "Gaston" again) and Aladdin, but I still enjoyed both movies and I don't think I've watched either in about 13 to 15 years. As for my favorite Disney film... man. Gun to my head, I'd go with Hercules. Now, let's play the game of the movies that I haven't seen, because that is way, way shorter then the ones I have seen. I feel like I watch too many movies now.
  6. http://www.theguardian.com/film/2013/sep/12/harry-potter-jk-rowling-fantastic-beasts-film Fuck off new Star Wars, this is what I'm excited about. I was so hoping for more when I read this, but I'll take what I can get.
  7. Yuusha ni Narenakatta was really the only thing I knew I was going to attempt to follow because the plot sounds too good to be true. Kill la Kill looks interesting, but seeing as its made by the people who did Gurren Lagan, it has become required watching now. I think I'd rather watch that over Coppelion but I'll probably end up giving that a try too, even though premises look pretty similiar. I like super sentai stuff though so I'll probably end up giving Samurai Flamenco a shot too.
  8. I cannot wait for that to come out. I doubt anything more will come out of it because it's a special that is coming ouy the week before or the week of the release of Pokemon X & Y (I can't remember), but I'm hoping against hope that it spawns a series.
  9. Welp, I'm on the love train for Silver Spoon. The first episode was buckets of fun.
  10. Poor Unfortunate Souls might be favorite song from that era of Disney movies. Kill the Beast is pretty good, but if we're talking Beauty and the Beast, you gotta go with... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK3x2DOoJIc Best song from that movie hands down.
  11. Bow down to the winner chumps and chumpettes! Okay. It's probably not the winner, but the whole Hercules movie probably doesn't get enough love anyway, but this song especially. Totally awesome.
  12. Urban was also Eomer in Lord of the Rings. Not saying it was stand-out or anything, but it is another thing he was in. I'm a bit on the fence about Affleck though. He has come a long way as an actor and I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt, but I have a lot of reservations. As it has already been said, I'm not sure he can pull off the pressence required to be a convincing Batman.
  13. I'm not super into Kaiju, but I do love Godzilla a whole bunch. Destroy All Monsters is a solid one to go with if you just want to jump into what is probably one of the best Godzilla films. Anything with Mecha Godzilla or King Ghidorah is generally pretty bitchin' as well. I also particularly enjoyed Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla and Godzilla vs. Destroyah, but really, it's all pretty awesome once you get into it. Gamera is fun. The earlier movies are sort of "meh" but their fun in a campy sort of way. The 90's trilogy is miles better IMO though. There is some other Toho stuff I enjoyed. War of the Gargantuas & Frankenstein Conquers The World are entertaining. Mothra has a pretty decent 90's trilogy of movies as well, but they are meant for children and I don't know if that'll annoy or not. I'd recommend Pacific Rim as well if you haven't seen it. Giant Robots vs. Giant Monsters. 'nough said.
  14. Sweet zombie jesus, the new Danganronpa is intense as all hell. It is hard disagree with this. I'm still a bit partial to the Freeza Saga myself, but The Perfect Cell Saga is twenty shades of awesome.
  15. TEOL's diary in the Cube begs to differ. Also, the mid-sized county question can be answered with one word. Mercenaries.
  16. Just recently invested in The Old Gods DLC and jesus, trying to get anywhere as a nothing Norse chief is like pulling teeth. Them kings are god damned ruthless. I finally got my army size up enough to be a threat and I decided to go raid Wales to build up some "Oh shit" money just in case I needed some cheap mercs or something. The king turns around and demands my capital for me, I tell him to fuck off, and he shows up with 5000+ troops and takes my ass to school. With my power base broken, the asshole just kept revoking my titles from me until I realized I had absolutely no chance in hell of getting anywhere anymore. Plus the asshole chucked both my character and my eldest son in prison. So I tipped my hat to him and started a new game.
  17. No doubt. I enjoyed those scenes though. It's like how I imagine shark enthusiasts feel when they go down into the sea inside a cage and shark attempts to kill them dead. New Dangan Ronpa was pretty intense though.
  18. I'm hoping for some of the expansion packs for the some of games I have go on sale (The Sims 3, Civ V, CK2, etc.) I always end up picking up something extra that I thought looked good but was never going to pay full price for. My poor wallet just never sees it coming.
  19. All too true Ellis. All too true.
  20. Did anyone else watch it!? And it looks like Attack on Titan has a stupid recap week. I'll throw it onto my pile with Blood Lad and the second season of Kingdom. Also need to give Attack on Titan a watch too. EDIT: Danganronpa is rather interesting. It has a creepy feel to it and I can see it getting quite dark down the line (even though the first episode goes from "wow, this is weird" to "HOLY SHIT, THAT'S FUCKED UP!" in about two minutes), but I enjoyed the first episode. Blood Lad is probably what you expect. It's your typical anime comedy that reminds me a lot of Soul Eater without all of the action. It made me laugh a few times, but I need to see a few more episodes to figure out whether I'm going to stick with it or not. Thoroughly enjoyed the first episode of Attack on Titan though. I'm about to catch up on that right now.
  21. We can't be friends anymore. I really enjoy the chemistry between the characters. The plots are half decent at the best of times but the dynamics (especially between Whitney and boyfriend, whose name I forget at the moment) are fantastic.
  22. Sunday Revenge - Started out slow, but got pretty awesome towards the end. Looking forward to season two when it starts. Once Upon A Time - First season was great. Second season should prove to be even better now that everybody is about to remember everything and that magic is back. 666 Park Avenue - It's on after everything else and it looks interesting. Figured it was worth giving it a shot. Walking Dead as well it starts back up. Monday I've been watching RAW and The Voice at the same for a while now. Watching TV on Mondays is work. How I Met Your Mother starts up again tonight and I cannot wait. I just finished rewatching the entire series today so I'm super ready. I really liked Revolution so I'll be sticking to that for the rest of the season as well. Yeah, I'll be using Hulu and other ways to keep up with those two though. Tuesday Tuesday is going to be busy. I've got Don't Trust The Bitch in Apartment 23 when that starts up again. Sarah Chalke has a new show starting up in January called How To Live With Your Parents For The Rest of Your Life that looks interesting so I was gonna give that a go. Pretty much the whole Fox block (Raising Hope, New Girl, Ben and Kate, The Mindy Project) along with The Voice and Go On over on NBC. Once again, Hulu will prove to be my friend. Wednesday A break finally as Arrow doesn't start until October and I'll be giving Guys with Kids a try in the mean time as well. I still need to watch the pilot now that I think about it. Thursday Big Bang Theory of course. I'll also be watching Glee and I've decided to watch Elementary too. That looks awesome. And if I have time, I'll be switching back and forth to iMPACT as well. Although I suppose I could just do what I do on Mondays with RAW. Friday If I'm home I'll be watching Whitney. That's about it on Fridays for now. I've got nothing on Saturday except cartoons (I know the new season of Star Wars: Clone Wars starts this Saturday) but I'm not usually home on Saturdays so that's probably for the best. I'm sure I'll end picking up some more stuff along the way that I haven't thought of.
  23. Kingdom isn't bad. The only thing that really annoys the crap out of me is the animation. It feels like their trying to force all of these crazy 3-D angles and such. I'm on Episode 6 though but I enjoy the shit out of early Chinese history so the backdrop pretty much has me hooked. Deadman Wonderland is great though. I'm on Episode 6 of that as well. Shit is fuck up as all hell but it's enjoyable. As for generes, I'm enjoy giant robot stuff the most but I'm pretty open to anything really . The last thing I was seriously following was The World God Only Knows, which was on sometime in 2010 I think. I'll look into those. I've heard of Steins;Gate but not Tiger & Bunny. damshow, you do know this is a light novel series and this is just one arc, right? Oh, apparently SAO and Accel World take place in the same universe. The helmet they use in SAO leads to the development of the chips used in Accel World, so that's kind of some cool continuity. And from my personal preferences to get you back into anime, Death Note. I've seen Death Note. Liked it, didn't love it.
