    True Blood

Absolutely fantastic episode this week Spoiler: Click here to view Bill and his maker killing people and having sex in their blood? Awesome. It shows a darker side of him, which is what he's trying to stay away from. For the most part, he's kept away from episodes like this so it was a nice change of pace from his usual love bullshit with Sookie We finally get a piece of the puzzle solved with Daphne too! I wonder what her relationship with Maryanne actually is though. The Bull thing was sorta solved too. Its a mask, but where do the claws come in? I still want to know exactly what the hell she is. Apparently she makes orgies happen when she doesn't get a shower. Bill's maker holding him down and preventing him from saving Sookie was an interesting turn of events. I wonder whats going to happen whenever she gets out of that. I'm thinking Eric is going to save her, as he obviously either wants to fuck her or wants to use her telepathic abilities. Or a little of both. Thankfully Jason's storyline is finally going to connect with some of the other ones going on. It was starting to drag a little bit, but I think when he finds out that his sister is locked in the basement shit is going to go down. If you don't mind some minor spoilers, here's a teaser for the rest of season 2. Doesn't give away too much, but it looks like shits going to hit the fan. Trailer
  2. I just got tapped out 15 seconds into the game in career mode. Full Health (obviously), tapping like a crazy person. What. The. Fuck. Ended up throwing my controller at the wall. Now my shoulder button's fucked. Not happy overall.
  3. Awesome. Mest are apparently gods among men who make shit music. Can't be perfect. EDIT: Interesting article. I had no idea that Boston's hardcore scene was that fucking crazy. That is why I don't go to shows. I'd rather not get stomped out by six crazy ass white guys for wearing the wrong shirt. Fucking lunatics.
  4. Frozen River: 6 out of 10 - A pretty interesting story and good acting by everyone. A bit slow paced for my tastes but it works for a movie like this. Death Race: 7 out of 10 - I'm a sucker for Jason Statham movies and I'm not ashamed to admit it. When this first came out, I thought for sure that it was going to be terrible. I was surprised then and still am now. I mean, the plot is simple enough, there is some great action sequences, the auto violence is pretty fantastic and Statham is great. Tyrese Gibson's character is one of the only problems in my opinion. His change from foe to friend was way too quick and sticking around afterward to become best friends in Mexico just seems dumb. Other than that, some pretty good mindless entertainment right here. I actually was going to watch Marley & Me a couple days ago, but when I heard that he dies I just couldn't and deleted it. Too sad for me, I love dogs and the previews reminded me of my own. I don't want to watch my dog die.

    Billy Talent 'III'

I've had it on my computer for a couple weeks now but I haven't gotten around to giving it a listen. Might be able to sometime this weekend though, I liked the first two albums so I'm hoping for the best but with the shitty reviews I've heard I'm not expecting too much.
  6. Cloverfield = 6.5 out of 10 - I'm usually not a fan of the shaky cam or monster movies, but this was done pretty well. There was a reason for the hand held camera and the creature (which looked kinda lame to be honest) only appearing for seconds made the buildup to its reveal even better. I'm kinda bummed out they offed all the main characters (or not, everything pretty much was off screen) but with a movie like this, you don't need the same actors for sequels, in fact it may be better to switch it up, tell different stories about what happened and such. Anyways, decent movie, shaky cam is a bit much at times but overall it works and actors did a good job of not really making me hate them. If you have some time to kill, its worth it. Wristcutters: A Love Story = 8.5 out of 10 - A really cute, interesting and fun movie about suicide! Really, it's something that is definitely worth watching, a fun movie with characters that you really get invested in and care about.
  7. Modern Warefare 2. I already know I'm going to lose a large portion of my life playing multiplayer on this, just like I did on Call of Duty 4. I just want to start playing it already.
  8. City of Ember = 6.5 out of 10 - I like post apocalyptic stuff, and although this never actually came out and said what happened, its an interesting movie and has some fun stuff to it. Nothing earth shattering, but a good movie with likable main characters. Crank 2: High Voltage = 7 out of 10 - You know pretty much what you're getting when you see a Jason Statham movie. I don't think I've ever seen a terrible movie by him and everything has been worth watching but don't expect something dramatic and a plot that will blow you away. The original Crank was better, but this definitely had fun moments and I look forward to how ridiculous they go on the next movie.
  9. I die a little more inside every time I click a link in this thread. That Millionaires song was fucking trash.
  10. It's a private company that is allowing him to play online. If they didn't want to, they didn't have to. If he acted like a knob and was booted off, the only person at fault is him. Fuck that guy, I hope that the judge makes him pay 55k to Sony for bringing them to court on such a bullshit charge.
  11. Heres a question for you. Cage fight to the death. Who wins? Attack Attack, Brokencyde or Confide? I'm going with Attack Attack, since they have the fatty with that hungry look in his eyes.
  12. I went to gamestop today to pick up Call of Duty 4 again and saw that they were doing a buy 2 get one free promotion. Bought COD4, Dead Space and couldn't figure out what to get for the free one. I went with Far Cry 2, but was thinking about picking up Oblivion. I've got a week to return it if I didn't like it. Is there something else I should check out? I mostly play shooters but I think I'd like something a bit different to switch it up.
  13. Some people shouldn't scream. Most of them are contained in the video you posted. I think my ears are starting to bleed now. I'm now calling it Music to hate your parents to as well.
  14. Really, who's going to pass up the opportunity to get night vision goggles? I mean, are they good night vision goggles or cheap asian knockoffs? Thats the real question.
  15. This is like an orgy of 80's action stars. I'm really disappointed in JCVD in turning down the role, it would have been the icing on the cake. I wish Schwarzanegger could play a larger role though, imagine a movie with Arnold, JCVD, Stalone and Dolph Lundgren marching around and blowing everything to hell? I did for a moment and immediately came.
  16. Fucking awesome. Theres really no reason why I'd need them, but I want them oh so badly. I can just see my social life disappearing when this game comes out for a couple months anyways. I'm alright with that.
  17. I love mindless action films and this looks that that is exactly what its going to be. I also heard that if this does well, they're considering making a couple sequels.
  18. Wow, that was fucking terrible. I was getting worried at the beginning, but that guys screaming is terrible and he just absolutely pinned the song down and violated it. I always get confused on these things though, we're voting on who is worse correct? There wasn't any group dancing sequences (although I saw the run in place for a quick second), which hurt their chances. I'm going to say that Brokencyde is a worse band overall, their video is like the perfect storm of awful. If I had to discribe this particular video in two words though, I'm fairly certain that Musical Abortion would be what I'd use. I'd like to see a contender try to match up with Attack!Attack!'s dance moves though. RUN IN PLACE! RUN IN PLACE! RUN IN PLACE!
  19. I know nothing about The Green Lantern but I like Ryan Reynolds, so I'm glad to see him get more roles. Superhero moves have been real good recently so I hope that this will be able to stand up with the rest of them.
  20. Yes, oh god yes. I had spend a couple rounds getting sat on, with Sherk going from half guard to full mount and just sitting there throwing punches. It would happen as soon as the bell rang, I'd come out, throw a punch or kick and he'd immediately go and take me down. Ugh, such garbage. I don't mind going on the ground, but it's ridiculous when that's all the opponent does.
  21. Little Brother is a real good starting point. Individually, Phonte is in a group called Foreign Exchange that is more laid back than what you'd like, but it pretty good stuff nonetheless. Big Pooh is a straight up rapper, and good stuff as well. Other people to check out would be Atmosphere, Royce Da 5'9'' and Los. Royce's super group Slaughterhouse might be pretty good too. Los is an absolute beast on the mic and Royce's mixtapes are absolute fire. I nearly passed out after listening to The Bar Exam II.
  22. Public Enemies - 8 out of 10 Best summer movie I've seen so far but it had a couple flaws. The only characters I could tell apart were Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pervis. Everyone else just kinda blended together. The whole Dillinger saga is a really fascinating topic but I don't know enough to really go into it to much here. From what I know though, the FBI and Pervis were inept and pretty much were getting made fools of by Dillinger. The movie really didn't delve into that, which is unfortunate. Into the Wild - 9.5 out of 10 I really can't describe why I like this movie so much, its one of those things that just kinda talked to me. I've always thought of myself as someone that doesn't care about money or material objects but I don't think I'd ever be able to go to the lengths that were done here. Fantastic movie and story with a really unfortunate ending. Taken - 8.5 out of 10 Liam Neeson kills, maims, severely injures and pistol whips his way through a boatload of Albanians, with some french people sprinkled in to boot. Really reminds me of a cross between the Bourne series and 24. He's a spy with a huge body count.
  23. I faced Sean Sherk, who took me down to begin every round, mounted me and wouldn't get the fuck off. I ended up throwing my controller at the wall. Perhaps I need to give this game a rest for awhile.
  24. I didn't watch all of it today, but I finished watching The Shield. Jesus, what an absolutely brilliant show. It just kept picking up momentum like a boulder rolling down a hill and by the end you just knew shit was going to get fucked up. Without a doubt, its on my top five greatest TV shows ever. The Shield - 9.5 out of 10
