There really isn't anyone in cycling, athletics or swimming (and probably several other sports) who I'd completely rule out as a drugs cheat. I know that's unfair, but we've seen too many scandals for me to feel otherwise.

Do you think it would happen anywhere near the top level? Aside from the fact it's less of a "harder, faster, stronger" sport than those where there's been a history of it, players move around so often that it would be near impossible to keep a secret unless it's industry wide. Maybe something daft like the Russian national team, but I can't see it across western Europe and the players who come into that.

I dunno really. There are so many more footballers so presumably there is more chance that there is doping.

But on the other hand I don't see how PED's in football would give you enough of an advantage to risk it.

I see where you're coming from but at the same time, Cristiano Ronaldo has established himself as one of the best of all time by being the best athlete in football. I'm not saying he's a drugs cheat by any means but what I'm saying is that he's a super athlete and that someone could take PEDs to get close to his level
